I'm not gonna be playing much this weekend, mostly fallout 3 to get ready for broken steel on tuesday. Maybe a little Oblivion too, but I think Fallout will fill my need for endless open world fun.

The real main event is tomorrow night, game 7 between the Celtics and my Bulls. This series has easily been one of the best I've ever watched, and win or lose tomorrow I'm proud of how much the baby Bulls fought.

I'm quite pleased with how this is turning out, if only because if there's one thing i loathe in any and all sports: it's a dynasty.

Crush the Celts.

@Fernando

Nope, I'm starting to think the post office lost my replacement money too at this point. My brother has a friend who's a lawyer and we're almost to the point where we're going to see what our legal options are. But honestly, I'm not going to court to fight for $250.

@johnny

I have full confidence the bulls can beat the magic if they should win game 7. Seeing as orlando struggled against the pitiful 76ers, plus outside of howard they're not really that great of a team. The only thing I would be worried about are the Bulls being too tired after this legendary series.

@soulblade

Yeah I really think he should be suspended for game 7 for tripping heinrich in 1 game, smashing miller in the face in another, and then throwing heinrich into the scorer's table in the last game...but there's no way the league is suspending a good player for game 7.

Also, everyone uses KG not playing as an excuse for why Boston's struggling, well we don't have Luol Deng playing either and he's a 20 and 10 player too.

Yeah, it's absolutely awesome. I was born in raised in Minneaps, so saw KG try and fail for ages to make some progress in the playoffs so I'm rooting for the Celts. I do like the Bulls, really scrappy squad with some great players. But along with KG, I like seeing Ray Allen and Paully have some success. Whoever wins or loses, such a great, great series it has been.

Odd to note is that the Houston Rockets originally began in San Diego, playing in Sports Arena which is nearby me here. Weird.

tmac,

In the playoffs there are no pitiful teams. Both of those games we lost against the 76ers came down to the last shot of the game. It's not like we got shit canned. That's just playoff basketball my man even the Lakers lost a game to Utah so anything can happen.

Not that I need to defend Orlando but we are actually a pretty deep team with Turk essentially running the PG spot from the 3 when Alston comes out of the game. We are also a nightmare to match up with on defense when we have Rashard playing PF and hitting 3's like that. The real killer so far has been Courtney Lee giving up 20 points a game and locking down the other teams PG on defense. When a team has a dominant player down low on offense and defense like Howard and everyone else that can shoot from deep it's a nightmare for any team to handle which is why we nearly won 60 games this year and had one of the best records in the league. There is no way in hell the platoon of Thomas, Noah and Miller can hang with Howard and Lewis down low. I also think the length of Turk would have an easy time stopping Salmons from getting off. I think Lee could do a good defensive job on Gordon or Rose as well.

The Bulls just don't match up well with us which is why I'm rooting for the Bulls to win because that would be a MUCH easier series than a tested team like Boston even without KG.

We don't have a super deep bench but we do have great role players like Pietrus, Reddick, Battie, Gortat and Johnson who all can do certain things great.

It's just not going to be Chicagos year if they do happen to win game 7 in Boston.

I'm curious to see how the Mav's will do. They're a good team, but just like the Cowboys, anytime it really counts they just seem to choke. It's about time they take it all the way, though.

Try playing a real team???!?!?

Philadelphia isn't a real team? We did play real teams all year and were one of the three dominant teams in the Eastern Conference. I don't know what you are smoking but it's certainly clouding your judgement.

Who is your godly squad?

You some bandwagon Cavs or Lakers fan? Riding Lebrons dick all the way to the finals? Fair weather fan LMAO.

Oh no you did NOT just question my credibility.

1. You have the balls to call me "fair weather"? lets look at your 2 favorite teams through time: Chicago Bulls with Jordan and Pippen and now the Magic with Howard. Really? Hope you didn't hurt your ankle too bad after hoping off the bandwagon. But thats obviously not the case.Yep, you seem like the tried and true fan who doesn't get swayed easily by star players telling you how much they love the revitalizing taste of Gatorade's new flavor.

2. Yeah, I totally jumped on the Cavs bandwagon. How dare I live in the state of Ohio my whole life. How dare I sit through disappointing season after disappointing season throughout the 90's and early 00's. Shame on me for being so fairweather. Same with Ohio State. Dont you think its just a little *too* coincidental that I went to OSU AND Im a Buckeyes fan? And lets not forget the Browns. My parents were Browns "fans" so now Im a Browns "fan"? If I was really a fan, I would've followed the team to Baltimore and told everyone in Cleveland to fuck off. I've been living a lie! Skulduggery is afoot, my friend.

speaking of Lebron, lets see how your very own Orlando Magic did back in the '03 draft

Okay, they have the 2nd pick, so who are they gonna take. Anthony? Wade? Bosh? Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to Darko Milicic

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci3j363HWQM

Yep, I'm sure he'll have a long and productive career for Orlando

Oh, wait...

Markez: We have a joke about Cincy sports as well (okay, mostly the Bengals but it still works)

Why was TJ Houshmandzadeh released by the Bengals? He got out early for good behavior

I thought the pistons drafted Darko when Larry brown was coaching, then he wouldn't play him and a few years later they released him and then the magic got him.

@mop

http://www.nba.com/history/lottery_picks.html

Orlando didn't have any good lottery pick in 03 - that's what let them get #1 in 04 to get... Howard.

@tmac

Yea without Luol we've done well, and he's often overlooked. I just love this series (and the Bulls since day 1). I just hate how Rondo's getting a slap on the wrist for doing some really dirty shit - imagine if Ron Artest pulled that - Stern would have suspended his ass in a snap. It's sad that this series ends tonight, but man I am so glad we could all get to see it.

Wow you really are showing you don't have a clue about basketball. The Pistons drafted Darko with the #2 pick that year. We traded the expiring contract of Kelvin Cato (who I believe we got in the T-Mac for Francis trade), Carlos Arroyo and a draft pick for Darko. Darko was actually considered the best player by many scouts and GMs in the '03 draft and was seen as a better version of Dirk Nowitzki because he could handle the ball like a PG but was 7 feet tall. There were actually a lot of teams that would have taken him ahead of James if they had the #1 pick in the draft. Darko had his best year with Orlando though even that was below average for someone with his talent. We had actually planned on re-signing Darko to a long term extension to play alongside Howard for the next 6 years but after we were able to sign Rashard Lewis (whom was envisioned as a PF) to a max free agent contract there wasn't a pressing need to sign Darko and he was not offered a contract.

If you actually had a clue about basketball you would have made fun of Orlando for drafting Fran Vazquez (Spain) without ever meeting with him in person. Fran Vazquez decided to sign a long term free agent deal in Spain instead of playing alongside Howard with the Magic. At that time The Magic were very much an average team and Vazquez did not think it was a good fit and signed a max free agent deal to stay in Spain. Considering we drafted Vazquez ahead of David Lee & Danny Granger we certainly could have done better. The thing is it doesn't matter how good of a player (Fran) is if he doesn't come over and play. We will own his NBA rights forever and I expect him to come over at some point especially with Orlando competing for a championship. You could even argue that JJ Reddick was a bad pick in 2006 at #11 with Rondo, Sefolosha, Brewer and Millsap all going later in the draft. However, Reddick does fill a nice role for us off the bench as a guy that can spread the floor and handle the ball. I'm not upset about that pick. I also have to point out that I actually wanted Orlando to take Okafor over Dwight Howard the year he went #1. Glad we didn't decide to do that.

The Magic have actually done well in the draft under Otis Smith aside from that Vazquez pick. We have been drafting for needs (Nelson, Gortat, Lee & Reddick) and they have all contributed to the team. Even our free agent signings have been good.

Stick to talking about something in which you actually have a basic understanding. Fair weather Cavs fan ...

Sonic Gems Collection, actually. Yet another game on my "fried GC memory card and wasn't backed up" list (so far i've restored all or most of my prior progress in Shadow the Hedgehog, Starfox Assault, and Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance). An obscure celebration of mostly-excellent games (some of the poorer Game Gear ones on there, though also the incomparable Sonic Triple Trouble, and the other problem being the very awkward Sonic R)

Gotta love Sonic the Fighters especially.

I would love to play some ExciteBots online. ExciteTruck is basically my favorite racing game of all time, aside from the NFS GC games. The controls on ExciteTruck are incredible and I just really, really love it.

But I don't own ExciteBots, and I won't be buying it soon. I am not willing to just go out and buy all the new games I want anymore and am practicing some restraint :(

Likely SR2 and Peggle on XBLA for me, realistically. However it's another weekend where I'm pledging to finally really dig into Fallout 3, we'll see if it happens. One of my old coworkers just picked it up and is hours ahead of me, so I'm a little jealous.

Then, prepare to be surprised... Excitebots is racing game with the best motion controls I have ever played. Better than Excitetrucks...

Honestly, I can't believe how good the controls are... the game is very fast, with tons of turns, obstacles, etc... and yet, you can totally master the game thanks in big part to the controls.

It is a blast to play, honestly.
