Wheelman fuels up with premium DLC on 360 today, PS3 May 7

($5) collection of five "premium" races and a free pack of ... one race. (Ah yes, the budget-friendly "1-pack.")We know you're excited, PS3 owners, but you'll have to wait until the regularly scheduled PlayStation Store update on Thursday, May 7 to pick up the DLC equivalent of a pine tree air freshener for $4.99. Which, as it so happens, is about the price of two gallons of gas in most states. Just sayin'.

Did anybody actually buy wheelman to make DLC necessary ??
i love how some games get too much DLC from the start and some games, including 1 that sells 10 million copies get 1 DLC.
sounds to me like they were thinking too much about DLC on this one...
and not the game itself.

I don't really care for this DLC, but why can't Sony just move it's update day to Tuesday?
sk8monroe81 (PSN--XBL) @ May 4th 2009 4:49PM
i dunno XBL seems to update games whenever they want to on any day and PSN seems to use 1 day a week.
XBL can be updated on mon, tue, wed, thur, etc..
PSN is thurs only from what i know..
there must be a reason.
lazy? i dunno..
in my business when a management company says they only write checks 1 day a month and you have to wait until next month, i take that as them being lazy and avoiding doing there job now.

I do not know the reason, but I like the one day a week method, I know every thursday I will go and check the PSN store. I presume that showing multiple items one day everyone knows makes people more inclined to buy something than showing items when available, but who knows...

i like thursday updates. it gives me something to look forward to.
itbekevin2010 @ May 4th 2009 4:36PM

I thought it was rather interesting and mindless fun, It wasnt bad at all in my book. I havent bought it ill admit but I have played it and I do like it, just waiting for a price drop.
joeybeast @ May 4th 2009 4:51PM
And I thought Diesel is merely a commodity.
j.howlett @ May 4th 2009 5:09PM
i could see myself getting this game for cheap down the line. the demo was fun enough for me.
THE Ezio Auditore de Firenze (PSN slycooper_rocker) @ May 4th 2009 5:23PM
agreed. i really liked the demo (even though vin diesel looked REALLY weird)
nakedatthecomp @ May 4th 2009 5:20PM
Played the demo, it was bruuuutal! Crappy graphics, crappy controls, cheesy voice acting... it's literally all cons and no pros!
Louis @ May 4th 2009 5:22PM
I hate this type of DLC. It was obviously planned from the beginning and probably ready to go on release day. It is just a way to milk people out of a little extra money whereas companies like Bethesda and Valve add value to their package.
THE Ezio Auditore de Firenze (PSN slycooper_rocker) @ May 4th 2009 5:24PM
true, very true. but at least these people make it available to everyone. bethesda screws the ps3 and valve screws the 360.
AsherR @ May 4th 2009 5:28PM
"bethesda screws the ps3 and valve screws the 360"
Don't you mean "Bethesda screws the PS3 and Valve screws the 360 AND PS3? :P
Wooooo PC :P
Kodros @ May 4th 2009 5:31PM
"whereas companies like Bethesda add value to their package."
Horse Armor. I need not say more.
THE Ezio Auditore de Firenze (PSN slycooper_rocker) @ May 4th 2009 6:30PM
@ AsherR
i meant that those companies grace the platforms they screw with their games, but don't give those versions the dlc that the other gets. *points to fallout 3 ps3 and TF2 360*
so valve can't really screw the ps3 since they haven't graced it with the true versions of their games.
carg0 @ May 4th 2009 6:23PM
you wanna talk pointless DLC? try wasting $10 for SR2's 'ultor mission's w/terra patrick'.
i blinked and before i knew it, it was over and i had flushed $10 down the drain.
i bought it because i enjoyed SR2 far more than GTAIV but, damn, was i mistaken. i'll never purchase DLC from this developer (Volition) again.
Moris @ May 4th 2009 6:29PM
@Kodros: I don't know if your saying the horse armor DLC for oblivion was "milking money" from us or what... but if you are, i just have to say $1.99 for something that they actually took their time to Design, Model, Texture, and Animate (making it so it moves correctly with the horse) is WELL worth the money in my opinion.
On the other hand charging $1-4 Just for skins! (Dead Space, though i did love the game) is absolutely Horrible XP
eg @ May 4th 2009 7:21PM
I liked the game it was fun but this dlc is just crap!
AdamBlue @ May 5th 2009 12:51AM
I found this game to be a lot of fun. Driving mechanics need to be used in other GTA-styled games, and the missions can get insane. Try the mission with bikes and cars and trains in the subway tunnel...badass mission.
The DLC though? Not worth it.
the2ofus @ May 5th 2009 2:26AM
I had to comment:
Fist the DLC sucks... thats just to little considering the game already has like 150 side missions...
The Game:
Whelleman er a very good game, i bought it because af the demo, and if you do have the full game, just play through the main story ontil you get all the bad ass moves, and the story missions are just so much better the your "normal-drive-mission"
Also try out the side missions, the tend to grow on you, in a good way. this game is an overlooked gem, for people who like games ;-)
