It's true folks, disaster almost fell upon the Fancast this week. No, we were never in danger of not recording the new episode. We were, however, in danger of forgetting to mention the announcement of the Mr. T game. Thankfully, at the last moment, we pulled through. We also talk about the normal news and Xav's trip to FunSpot Arcade. Listen to the latest episode ... and pity the fools that don't.

Richard, Dustin, Xav and Xander,
Thanks so much for the Magic Whiskey-inspired Fantalk segment. That was super cool and very sweet of all of you to include me this week. Doubly so, considering I got in on the week the Mr. T game news dropped.
I'm currently working on some fan art that Xbox Joystiq may like to use, and thanks to this week's show, my next piece will be a Mr. T/Chuck Norris/Jack Bauer splash illustration for you all to enjoy. Ohh, yes it will be.
Have a great week,
Chris
P.S. I wish someone would invent an anti-shrink ray for Richard. Sounds like he keeps shrinking like Lily Tomlin in the past few episodes. Xav...Man, all I gotta say is that I think if you want to TALK to Coruscant, you need to move away from Tatooine. Or something.

I agree that *most* of the old Simpsons games were awful, but you're forgetting one little gem from the 8 and 16 bit era: Krusty's Super Fun House.

It was a really clever platform puzzle game, kinda like Braid actually.

Richard, you should really try and buy the GuildWars series. The best part about it is you can play it at your own leisure and you can play it alone (with Heroes/Henchmen) so you dont have to join some uber guild to have fun in it.
Its not a mega MMO but is really really good and fun in chunks. You should for sure buy it. Have all the chapters and the expansion and although now, I dont play it regularly still have fun on an off. No monthly fees is the icing with cherry on top IMO.

Interesting fancast guys. I will disagree with you guys about the announcements for E3. I would rather see games like Crackdown 2, Halo: OSDT, and Fable 2.5 than Alan Wake. There is a lot of talk about the "exciting" announcements for other Platforms, but when I look at them I see generic games and games that do not appeal to me at all. Sometimes it seems like journalist seem to always want the next best thing when most of the audience is happy with what they already have.

Heck yes, it's awful that Valve can put awesome sales on Steam which are to everyone that has Steam, then the Deal of the Week on Xbox Live is only for Gold members, which are actually paying Microsoft. It's a shame Microsoft won't take a page out of Valve's book.
