I like interviews where the interviewed jokes around. Always a better read.

I can ASSure you that Haze was not what I thought of when i saw the helmet in the post image. I will keep that immature thought to myself.

"Don't cockblock the fun"

Wow, perhaps the best interview response ever.

The helmet looks more like Section 8 than Haze. I'm just sure about this game. It looks pretty cool and everything but I would probably go with the steampunk inspired Damnation (another capcom game) over this one. The plot is right up my alley, though. Bermuda triangle, aliens, alternate dimensions etc etc sound wicked cool. It's another game that I'll just have to take a wait and see approach about.

"We're definitely planning some very cool stuff for DLC. We're not sure what those will be yet, but we're currently figuring that out right now."

We all know that's BS on so many levels.
1. "cool"
2. "not sure"
3. "figurING out" (present tense)
and ..oh yeah ..it's already on the disc.

Priceless:
"Also, the jetpack has unlimited fuel, or as we like to unofficially say at work: "Don't cockblock the fun.""

I agree. Multiplayer-mania has completely hurt the gaming industry.

Here is why:
1) Too many multiplayer-games spread out the users
Good games lack for players once too many other MP games come out

2) More and more the single-player experience has become a demo for the MP experience, and starts lacking in content, story, even quality of game

3) More and more, all MP games are alike. Especially since many of them mimic COD in both style, manic game-play (which I find caters to run and gun, instead of actuall strategy and fun), weapons, etc...

Example: While I like both, I barely find much difference between playing Fear2 or Killzone2 multiplayer. Both are unsatisfying beyond an hour of fast-paced frag-fests. I LONG FOR THE GOOD OLE' DAYS of SOCOM 1 & 2, and actual strategy!!!

You still have The Darkness disc, Esc? I'd have to imagine there's a few people playing it? I told my brother to mail it back to me, hopefully he'll get it back one of these days.

I thought your internet connection was too worthless to play 360 multiplayer anyway?

I wish more of the posts about upcoming games would give expected release dates so that I don't have to constantly go look them up.

It's kind of like how sports announcers on the radio constantly need to give the score in case a listener is just jumping into the broadcast... :)

I'm so glad they have a sane view of multiplayer. It either has to be exceptional, or nonexistent. Anything inbetween is simply not worth it.

More to the point, balancing a multiplayer mode where everyone has unlimited jetpacks sounds like a nightmare. Actually, it sounds like Ace Combat or HAWX.

I agree, the worst part is when lower budget games or at least ones that are just lower selling or not as good have achievements for playing multiplayer. I played the original FEAR multiplayer, it took 30 minutes to find a match with 3 people in it. There was no way i was ever getting those achievements, or any enjoyment out of the MP, while FEAR 2 isnt quite as bad, give it time and im sure it will

while im glad theyre not tacking on an unfinished MP mode that only puts more pressure on the 'massively single player' experience. linear story and no MP = no replay value to me: this game desperately needs at least co-op IMO..

One thing that concerns me because of the helmet ... someone might see our game and say, "Oh, that looks like Haze," and I'm like, "Oh god, no no no no no!" [Laughter.]
