i find it hard to feel the space between each fret on the RB guitars. Also, I tend to accidentally hit the RB frets more often because there isn't that extra space on the front of the neck that the GH guitars have where i can rest my fingers not in use. but i agree, the GH strumbars feel a million times better.

When they were a teen band I don't care for the tunes, but it was all played very well, when they grew up musically its very much like another band that is so beyond its great, can't wait to play this.

I could be wrong, but this might be the obligatory "learn to play a real guitar" post. But kudos to you, sir, for making your point in the most oblique way possible.

i kinda like these guitars. i dont have any of the instrument/music games but i could see myself with one of those if i got RB2. actually, i might preorder one just in case i do want to pick up RB2 or the beatles game by the time September rolls around.

id be a lot more interested in the music games if they were a little more inclusive. The Roots deserve the music game treatment, especial now considering their Late Night exposure. Rage Against the Machine could bring in some new fans.

theres plenty out there with guitars besides classic rock and hair metal. what about the blues or some more country packs for that crowd? theres more to the market that dlc and music packs can explore. they need to do it.

I won't mind it, besides to point out that funk, and huge batch of country just hit Rock Band...

Not much funk, not nearly enough funk, but it did show up. I would like some Industral as well, but I know the kids just don't enjoy Ministry like they should.

And screw Rage... If they really were against the man like they claim that they are, how come they never took the Fugazi route, and instead, sold out to, well the man.

@Rocketboy: Agreed on the distinct dearth of funk. Needs more Earth, Wind, & Fire. If only for the vocals on "September."

Pink Floyd and Dire Straits also demand some RB love.

So the Hofner won't be sold separately? Then It's the Rickenbacker for me. Even though I have two guitars already.

So I already pre-ordered the game a while back through Amazon, anyone know about how to get the pre-order club code?

Harrison's Gretsch? Nice, I wasn't expecting that really. I've been all Gretsch happy since I saw Colin Meloy play one on The Colbert Report last week.

Although I was hoping we'd get Lennon's Casino. But oh well, Rickenbacker is awesome too.

I was hoping for the casino as well because I was ready to buy if that was in the bundle

"played by John Lennon and George Harrison allegedly throughout their respective careers"

What do you mean "allegedly?" This is something that can be easily verified, it seems. And considering the fact that Paul and Ringo contributed creatively to the game and provided input, it seems likely that they would have spoken up if the Harmonix was creating guitars that weren't actually used by the band.

Does anyone know if a Guitar Hero III guitar will work with The Beatles: Rock Band?
