avan @ May 6th 2009 5:31PM
yeah no doubt they made this trailer after P vs. H fight
Clinton @ May 6th 2009 5:05PM
man that looks so fun cant wait, hope you can mix styles
darko @ May 6th 2009 5:10PM
i dont know but the punching animation seem like theres no real power or speed in them mostly the jabs
Brendan H @ May 6th 2009 8:04PM
Yeah, I was hoping the overall speed of punches was going to be faster than FNR3. It definitely looks better, but not quite what I was hoping for.
BigFat @ May 6th 2009 5:20PM
i hate to say it (because i loved fight night round 3) but it looks like the UFC game has this one beat in terms of graphics and pure strategy. it also looks like they slowed this game down alot or took alot of the power/heavyness out of punches.
Linkario @ May 6th 2009 7:13PM
Really? I walked away from the UFC demo very disappointed. Another UFC button masher.
xFenixKnightx @ May 6th 2009 8:19PM
Linkario
You sir, are a dumbass. UFC 2009 Undisputed is the farthest thing from a button masher ever. Do the full tutorial and you'll know this for a fact. That game is incredibly deep and complex! Did you even see teh move list? I like how both games are looking so far but I'm a little more biased about UFC U 2009. MMA is my fav combat sport.
whazam1337 @ May 6th 2009 9:33PM
UFC sucksss LOL the demo was terrible even spending a good amount of time to go threw the whole tutorial. Its WAY to slow it made me want to go to my local gym and throw down with some scrubs.
dantebk @ May 6th 2009 5:35PM
Man, this looks good. Can't wait!
avan @ May 6th 2009 5:47PM
First time im doubtful about this game :/ I agree punches are not looking solid, i hope is just the trailer.
tmontana213 @ May 6th 2009 6:14PM
I enjoyed the third one and I'm sure I'll like the fourth.
Spartan @ May 6th 2009 6:24PM
'Gota say, this is the first boxing game since punch-out to grab my interest.
I think i'll rent or borrow it.
DigitalTwisted @ May 6th 2009 6:33PM
What the hell are you all talking about "The punches look underpowered".......unless my memory has completely gone (bearing in mind I still have FNR3) then IMO punches like the jab etc have ALWAYS been under-powered........
or at least they are animated that way.
Fight Night for me has always had poor punch animations which show almost no reaction from the boxer except for big knockout punches BUT the actual power was there, it just didn't show it, and FNR4 looks no different.
It's a small gripe, but I would say wait for a demo or something before judging because these trailers could simply be showing that and the punches themselves may still be powered accurately.
RedSonRising @ May 7th 2009 1:27AM
i hope round 4 corrects the 'stand in the middle of the ring and throw haymakers' gameplay in round 3. i like long drawn out fights, 'stickin the jab' and forcing my opponent to take risks and make a mistake.
+1 boxing and -1 brawling and im in..
