Look, I love the guy, but really, has he made a good game in the last decade?

Honestly? Everything I've seen, heard, or read about the guy points to him being a 'bag.

You know...

I find it mighty funny that this guy sported off to space a little after this game had a mildly set user base...and then afterwards he 'quits' the company...and nearly days after that, the game is announced to be tanked on the last day of Feb.

And now he's coming back crying that he missed out on some cash...

Next time, budget your cash before you sport off thinking your an astronaut?

I smell an incredible amount of BS all over this story on both sides....

Has anyone watched that "Life After People" TV series?

I laughed so hard when it said that it said his "Operation Immortality" project would be a total failure, after about a few months - that's when the Intl. Space Station would come crashing to earth.

He probably saw that episode, and want's his money, and the chip, back.

I never did like that show, because I disagree with some of the things they say. Even if all humans did suddenly disappear ,Which would be very very hard to do without killing all life, There would still be evidence of our existence. I mean we find shit form cave men 50,000-100,000 years ago still, and with all the shit we've made there would be plenty left over.

Actually, Rob, I agree... I quit watching after the 2nd episode.

The caveman paintings is an excellent point.

I know, I was fool enough to buy the book this is based off of. It's the only book I have ever returned.

well the thing the show is saying is that our stuff isnt as durable. The Caveman painted on walls of caves that were are virtually untouched by weather, the Egyptians wrote on clay tablets that hardened into rock, or inside sealed off tombs or even just carved into walls that arent sealed. One episode, well the only episode I saw, had a repository in idfk Chicago or something that had a HUGE collection of books, movies, CDs, etc. and the people running it said that if we all disappeared, most of the stuff would be gone within, i cant remember exactly im gonna say 200 years, and that's with the places special cooled and sterilized environment

LB has always had this sad compulsion to push gaming beyond what the technology allows for. He's also a big-spending showoff. I guess his two weaknesses have finally combined and he can't deal with it, so just like most other failed "visionaries", what's his answer? Lawsuit, lawsuit, lawsuit. Hey Richard, here's an idea: make a new Ultima that doesn't require a Lucasfilm rendering farm to run, with a compelling story and extensible gameplay. Too mundane for you? Well, then take a bow and leave the stage.

Awesome... any chance I can get in on this lawsuit? You know how much time and money I completely wasted on Tabula Rasa? I even bought the damned collectors edition!
*Sigh*
I just wanted to be cool like my WoW friends, only space and scifi is more my thing as I've never been into all that Orcs and Elves fantasy bullshit. Guess I should have learned after the same thing happened to me on Earth and Beyond.

Don't worry buddy, just pull Earth and Beyond back out and wait for the emulator to be finished.
