Namco files trademark for 'God Eater'

Internet sleuth superannuation reports that Namco has filed a new trademark for a game called God Eater. That's about it, really. The trademark page does refer to it as a game "that may be accessed network-wide by network users via mobile phones and computers," meaning it might be a downloadable title. We are decidedly not experts of trademark language though, so it's anyone's guess.

We may not know what the game is about yet, but we know one thing: Writing the theme song should be a snap.

you know what grinds my gears.... when dumbass people always think any person acossiated with religion will mouth off at any metion of God, Jesus or religious figure.

as a Catholic i really don't care about a game called God Eater. There will be people who respect others regardless of their beliefs or views and there will always be retards who judge people into one category of some "jihad my god is better then yours" category.

The title instantly makes me think of two of my favourite PS2 games (MGS3: Snake Eater and God Hand). It's bound to disappoint me, if I set my expectations that high.
