I dare say they're probably those vitamin supplements intended to improve eye health, but rebranded to appeal to gamers. They probably DO work, but are overpriced.

No their not American, it seems they originated in Afghanistan, and came to America fairly later than other countries, Europe included that you so unjustly put down. Shame on you, do some research guys ;-)

"other countries, Europe included"

Europe is a continent, not a country.

It has both Lutein and Zeaxanthin, which are supplements for vision. I've never tried them before.

Erm... that was meant to be a new post. But coincidentally the chems mentioned are in fact found in plants to make them more vivid and colorful.

carrots arent good for your eyes. That was a rumour started by the british during ww2 when they developed radar. They published a story about conserving carrots for their pilots so they could see better.

Aye, and Baskin-Robbins actually has 32 flavors of ice cream, and is keeping the second one hidden as part of their evil plot.

+1 to the person that can tell me where I got that from.

Excellent research.

a) Carrots aren't from America
b) They'll only help your eyesight if your diet lacks vitimin A (although other sources like fish are far better).
c) Eating too much vitimin A can cause toxicity and promote various forms of cancer.

Now, I'm not a doctor either but I can operate google.

No kidding: I had to take tranquillilzers for some months and during this time I was a gaming-god. Since then I never had been a quarter this good. Mostly I'm about average in multiplayer games (CS1.6,Quake etc.) but during those months almost everything worked. I totally pwned every match.

So medics DO work for gaming!

"we can assure you that taking pills of any sort won't make you better at playing video games"

I can assure you that I got my top score in Burnout 3: Takedown's Road Rage mode after ingesting a couple of pills. I'm not talking a small improvement here either, up from 38 to 52 just 20 minutes after consumption. And I was barely conscious of achieving this feat either - one of my friends (who I'd been chatting to incessantly during the game and promptly hugged afterwards) had to point it out.
