Ubisoft has revealed new DLC for
Tom Clancy's HAWX is on the way, but some might call the announcement
old news. When Ubisoft sent us images of its first DLC pack -- titled European Assault -- last month, it also
attached two additional folders of aircraft images; one labeled US Eagles and the other marked Russian Falcons. At the time, deductive reasoning told us the two folders were hints at future DLC; today our theories were proven to be correct.
The US Eagles DLC for
Tom Clancy's HAWX is set to hit the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store tomorrow. The pack will set ace pilots back 400

/ $4.99 and includes five aircraft variations, from the sleek and stealthy
A-12 Avenger to the battle hardened F-4 Phantom II (pictured). Now, we eagerly await the release details for the
Russian Falcons DLC.

We have enough planes, we need more plane customization, and more SP missions!
Manly Mcbeefington (Mr. ESC) @ May 6th 2009 10:18PM
Is the any good? The demo wasn't all that interesting and since my hunt for Ace Combat 6 has been failure so far a good substitute would be great.

Is the game any good?
why do keep eating words?
The Dark Wayne @ May 6th 2009 10:21PM
I enjoyed it, and Ive never enjoyed a flying game before. The singleplayer missions could be a little annoying sometimes, particularly the ones where you had to defend some fucktard AI, but id at least say it's worth a rent, I had a lot of fun with it

I love HAWX. The 4 player co-op is really fun, the variety of planes and their play style is refreshing and the deathmatch is a thrill. It reminds me of other adversarial multiplayer games in that the skill required to win is movement/timing/strategy unlike most shooters on the 360 today. We must play Dark Wayne, didn't know you had HAWX. The only thing we need is more weapons, more variety on speed/accuracy/damage of missiles and all and a payload customization would be nice as well.
The Dark Wayne @ May 6th 2009 11:03PM
i only rented it
Manly Mcbeefington (Mr. ESC) @ May 6th 2009 11:09PM
Would you say Is worth it at 100$? Serioulsy Gameplanet prices go from high to dirt cheap, for example I bought Burnout Paradise for the Ps3 on less than 30$.Its worth every penny considering all the content.
Anticrawl @ May 6th 2009 11:24PM
@Mr. ESC
I'd say it's worth more than $29.99, which is what it retails for at Best Buy.

Buy buy buy!!! Then add me and together we shall rule the skies.
Anticrawl @ May 6th 2009 11:27PM
By the way that price is from the Sunday ad, so you can only get it at that price til Saturday then it will rise back up to 49.99 or whatever it was. Remember, Walmart price matches if you don't have a Best Buy nearby.
Markez @ May 6th 2009 11:51PM
Sucks for ESC that games are so expensive living in Svalbard and all :(
Brook @ May 6th 2009 10:29PM

dmxinsd @ May 6th 2009 10:35PM
Incase someone wants to get it HAWX is $30 at bestbuy and the deal ends saturday (i think).
Dr. Flex @ May 6th 2009 10:54PM
I picked it up today. I think 30 is worth it, not 60 though. Not to me at least.
WiredKnight @ May 6th 2009 10:34PM

tmontana213 @ May 6th 2009 10:40PM

nofriendo @ May 6th 2009 10:56PM
the microsoft point system is so stupid. so 1600 microsoft points equals $21.83 or something. whats the Redmond WA dollar at these days?
whazam1337 @ May 6th 2009 11:07PM
Hawx: the game that has 1 v 1 dog fights and a meh co op mode ohh 4 got they are charging 5 bucks for plane skins!!!!
GOOOO UBI !!!
BorgDroNeZ @ May 12th 2009 12:54PM
They locked games that were unlocked through codes so they could charge you for them in DLC. I traded Hawx last week and picked up Ace Combat 6. I am much happier, the AI is smarter, and it isn't 3 against 40+ enemies.
IHoldStock @ May 7th 2009 12:48PM
Someone should point out that the A12 Avenger and the X-20A Razorback planes offered up as DLC are both available already on the disk, accessible either through a code or an unlock through the ubisoft VIP thing (I forget which).
ScottG13 @ May 7th 2009 1:54PM
Yep. And it still sucks.
Missions, not planes, you fucking retards.
