Prototype pre-order goodies revealed

GameCrazy pre-orders will get a hardcover art book, which contains illustrations of the game's characters, enemies and locations. Amazon orders will receive a Prototype comic from Wild Storm. The comic actually sounds fairly interesting, as it looks at the game's events from the perspective of two police detectives on Alex's trail. As we've reported before, Alex makes a habit of killing or destroying everything around him, so we imagine the cops have their hands full.

This pre-order crap is getting out of hand. I dont mind publishers selling a limited edition with cool stuff, but when I have to choose from retail outlets, most of which I hate going to, it just steams my weasel.

Fortunately for me, Dirty, the only thing here in MD is GameStop. I've never even SEEN a GameCrazy before. And I'm almost 100% confident that I will never, EH-EH-EHVER order anything for Amazon a-gaiiiin.

I only ever hear about GameStop doing pre-order stuff. Which others have you seen these shenanigoats at? Even looking at their page quick you can see there's a metric steamed weasel ton of all different goodies, exclusives, bonuses, etc.
Only time I ever really wanted a pre-order goodie was as a gift for my lady on her birthday a year or 2 ago, ended up just buying it on its own on ebay.

Toys R Us, Best Buy, Target gives 5 dollar gift cards for any pre-order, game crazy, your moms house. Lots of places do it, but GameStop is the worst, and well DEATH TO GAMESTOP!!!!!!!!

I agree Dirty, Gamestop had the bonus arena preorder bonus for Wolverine, but Best Buy had the classic costume, and I wanted both! I wish that if you bought the collectors edition you got all the stuff, from different stores or not

Damn, I love those TMNT figures. So much. I have a box-set and can't bear to take them out of the package. It'd break my heart to see even a speck of dust upon them. They're just far too gorgeous...

The artbook is the one that says "The Art of Prototype" on it.
The comic is the one with the "#1" on the cover.

As a connoisseur of action figures, I can safely say that one's pretty crappy. Although not so much because it's a crappy design or build but it's based on a crappy looking guy. I'm reminded of that one douchebag guy from a post a few months back about unemployed game makers, he was wearing a buttondown shirt, a sweater, and a sports coat. Now, I mean that can be nice on some people, but an action game hero? No way, he'd be fine without the button down though imo.

I think the game looks good & all, BUT...
ya know what sucks about this for some ppl like myself?
As of now I have no money to shell out for anything, & so its not even possible to pre-order anything...
So even if I could possiby choose between Pre-order sets (or w/e u wanna call them) I have no money at the time.
Limited time offers suck to me. They show u all this stuff u could get, some of which u practically drool over, only to realize that u cant afford it & so ur gonna miss out. >.>
Personally...I hate that.
