Yeah, "sneeze" makes more sense and sounds better, especially after playing the game. You aren't stopping ANYTHING there.
And it's surprisingly fun.

I don't know if I find this offensive or funny as hell.

I'm going with the latter.

Again, it's not SWINE FLU! You cannot get it from pigs. It's H1N1, the name of the strain. Please have someone correct this huge mistake on Joystiq's part for the last week. It's just really annoying. Do your research on this. I love Joystiq but sometimes you guys just get it really wrong.

Who cares? It's not bird flu either, but that got blown out of proportion, too. Welcome to America, where people get shit wrong all the time and life goes on.

I thought they call it swine flu because the genetic makeup of it indicates that it comes from pigs, not because it can be contracted from eating pork. Everyone knows that you cant get it from eating pork but refer to it as swine flu because it's origins comes from pigs. The only reason the feds are trying to rename the swine flu outbreak is because they feel that the name is hurting pork sales.

Infection is swine --> humans. Hence, "swine flu."

If they find something catchier than "H1N1" and maybe everyone will listen.

What's that Kevin? I can't see you.

I thought I contracted swine flu from a pig, but luckily I was wearing a condom.

A site that wants to be reputable like Joystiq should still probably follow by those kinds of guidelines. If they wanna make pig jokes, no biggy, but seriously, this is another reason most media outlets think Joystiq and other blogs aren't worth anything.

But Joystiq is a reputable news outlet. Unless you wanna join the masses of people that think blogs aren't legit media outlets.

Human's are silly creatures. They'll take any opportunity to mock a situation just to indulge themselves in a bit of interactive pleasure, no matter how dire the situation is, for example if a Killer Asteroid was going to hit the Earth in a week. The media would runaway with the story. TMZ & Perez Hilton would cover the story and turn into a story about how it effects celebrities. The news would give it a name like, Asteroid Annihilation 09!, with commercials like, When an Asteroid was going to hit Earth. CNN was there first! Oh it's still going to hit us? Well tune into CNN for the best coverage of humanities final moments. Then when there's one day left for the Asteroid to hit us. Joystiq runs the story, Asteroid flash game!

Well, that iteration of Mega Man sucks, anyway.

In regards to our current situation with the Swine Flu

"no matter how dire the situation is"

oh puh-leeeeeeeez

The worst part is, it'll just be a crappy port of Asteroids anyway.

Humans can adapt to any situation - it's our greatest advantage. A little bit of irreverence to make life a bit lighter goes a long way.

The virtual children, won't somebody think of the virtual children!

sneezing is too cruel for children, even if they are virtual! (the older people can explode for all I care)

I'm not saying the Swine Flu is a dire situation, but if it was, they'd still make a game about it. Oh and Mega Man owns your fucking ass!

Yawn. Had a microbiologist tell us today about this in some quite interesting detail. The media has blown this out of proportion and bastardised the definition of Pandemic, but by the WHO definition, it is really minor but is in 2 different continents so a pandemic.
