Well actually we haven't seen anything from the real GAME so far. But if the gameplay manages to be on the same level of quality as the cinematics, it'bb be pretty badass indeed.

They have released lots of gameplay footage right here on Joystiq. Search for Prototype on the main page or just click the prototype tag in this article.

I think its funny, how in the video the soldiers say the areas "all clear" Alex jumps down and makes that loud crash and they dont notice.

Gantz would make an awesome multiplayer game! I thought of Gantz too when I saw the insides of the guy who was cut in half.

Holy crap, if only the in-game graphics could look like that. This game has alot of potential given the powers he has.

Im guessing due to the name "Prototype" he ends up finding the guy, and fighting the final version of said virus, or whatever the protagonist has.
Any whoo, this looks crazy. reminds me a lil of terminators t-1000 i think. the silver liquid guy.

Yeah, some nice CG there, but... Has anyone seen any non-CG footage of this game?

Yeah they have shown gameplay. It looks decent but not near the quality as the intro for obvious reasons. I'm not sure how new this but here you go:

Huh... To be honest, I really don't like the look of that. If reviewers say it's amazing I may pick it up.

I'm all about the shapeshifting. It's going to be so satisfying tricking those soldiers into their own ultra-violent demise.

And P.S. Joystiq: What is going on with my picture? I updated like 4 hours ago and it still hasn't changed over. I'm not Mario, I'm Storm Eagle!

How long before playing games actually looks as good as these pre-rendered scenes? That was amazing and I can't wait until the actual in game graphics reach that sort of level of realism and polish. Probably 2-3 more generations?

I think 2 games that stand out in my mind are Uncharted & Uncharted 2. The first trailer for Uncharted 2 was rendered using the game's graphic engine so what you see is the real deal. It isn't 2 generations away. PS3 is doing it now and for X360 Gears of War 2 got pretty close to it.

The problem is the pre-rendered will always be above n beyond the gameplay.
Stuff now is on par with PS2 FMV's. So next gen the gameplay will look last this gens pre-renders.
I'll agree with BlueDevil, Uncharted is one sweet game, especially for a launch title.

Same rule here, especially for gameplay vid's. I wanna know the muddy looks n stodgy graphics are down to the dodgy flash compression, not because the game looks manky

Or maybe more along the lines of Resident Evil meets God of War.

This developer previously made Hulk: Ultimate Destruction...and this game seems an awful lot like it, other than the differing protagonists. Which is not meant as an insult....H:UD was a GREAT game...except for the final boss battle, anyways.
Which is to say a hybrid of GTA-style open world with God Of War beatdowns and power-up chains.
