I remember being really excited about this game when I first read about it YEARS ago. I don't really care anymore... maybe I'll play it if it ever comes out /shrug

If it wants to stand any chance at success it must come out before MAG or it's fucked.

Huh...?
Huxley is PC exclusive while MAG is PS3 exclusive.
I don't think the player base will conflict with one another much.

Huxley is not a PC exclusive at all, I don't know what you're talking about. The whole hook was that PC and console players could play the same thing online, although the PC was getting more maps than the console version.

I thought I remembered reading a story that said the 360 version was canceled. Something about because it was being distributed for free through Ijji now.

Einhander and Jmood,

The last I heard, there were going to be two versions of Huxley; one exclusive to the PC and the other exclusive to the Xbox 360. While they're both "Huxley" games, they are supposedly going to take place in completely different time periods with only semi-related story arcs tying them together but the game will feature cross platform multiplayer. This, of course, depends on whether or not the feature (or even the Xbox 360 version itself) has been canned; it's been AGES since we've heard anything about Huxley.

Www.huxleygame.com - unofficial site. You'll find recent interviews there. One of which basically suggests that the 360 version is currently up in the air. Not cancelled, not definite, and certainly not a different game (link on that info plz?).

I do believe I read that ijji picked it up as well.

I really like FPS's, and I really like MMO's, hopefully this combination will work out.

...hopefully.

The only good MMO FPS in my experience of playing games was Planetside until Sony killed off its professional and well designed site in favor of the stupidity that came with the "Aftershock" expansion, as well as giant robots.

Adding giant robots usually kills any game.

I'm really disappointed that they announced it so early. I've been waiting to play this game for probably around 3 years now.

And it's not a PC exclusive. It's supposed to be coming out on the 360 as well as the PC.

I'm still excited to get my hands on it but I'm not as hyped up as I was so long ago.

It's an MMO, these things take time to develop. This current gen has been out since '05. How many current gen console MMOs are out there, besides Phantasy Star?

From what I've seen in the last few months, Huxley is an extremly deep game. Let's just hope this is good extended development and not Too Human type extended development.

I wonder, if you pre-order this game, does it come with a beta code for Starcraft:Ghost? or maybe Gran Turismo PSP?

I signed up for the beta :P I've been waiting since like '03 when it was announced, and it was supposed to release in '05 XD I still can't wait for the game. Not as excited as I was years ago, but the details and footage haven't let me down yet. Only thing about it is that I'm more of a CS person, and the PvP looks like Quake 3 to me. Which isn't a bad thing, it's just not my main style. Hope I get into the beta :P

I like the art style. Much better than Tabula Rasa. Hopefully this one is a real FPS and will attract a solid player base.

ijji.com owns the game right now and will release it on a free to play model. 99.9% sure the 360 version is so "up in the air" that it will never come out.

Currently playing the closed beta, and I have to say it feels a lot like Unreal Tournament 3 while in battle...but that's an EXCELLENT thing! It means they got the shooter portion done perfectly. Now I just have to get further along and see how the rest of the game is. I'll let ya know!
