Fill 'er up with new Fuel trailer and screens

We've got a handful of new screens and a trailer for Codemasters' upcoming post-apocalyptic, open-world racer, FUEL. Based on the screens and trailer, we can expect two things for the future of planet Earth. One, the grim, barren landscape will make for some bitchin' races (no gasoline shortages in this future, folks). Two, something will make everything really blurry around the edges. Our money is on excessive radiation. Oh, and let's not forget giant, floating arrows. Those are there, too.

I really don't care about who copied who. As long as this game is fun to play then I'll be getting it, crappy music or not.

God I hope you CAN turn the music off. That lame ass emo rock irritates me to no end!!

Just because it looks like a clone doesn't make it bad. This game's been in development for a while, announced for the first Xbox, and unlike Asobo Studio's recent titles, this game has more budget than Wall E. Even if FUEL isn't good, I'd still buy it as a way of saying, "Thank you, for reaching a gaming milestone." Regardless of how well they make use of 5000 sq. miles, it's still 5000 sq. miles. What other game is just that big? That's what hooked me. No one has achieved this (as far as I know). Example being the upcoming Borderlands, the game of half a million weapons.

What if I just rent it? What does that say to them?

Hmmm... I'd have to say along the lines of, "Psh. Whatever."

This game is a day-one purchase, for me. The coders know how to make the ps3 sing, they have always managed a great line between sim and arcade, and these environments are gorgeous, and I love the idea of free roam. Last time I had this, was Midnight Club Los Angeles-- which I love, but I need something new and yet like that. Can't wait for this. Money already spent.
