Those who took the time to dig through Capcom's most recent statistic-filled investor briefing for the upcoming fiscal year could find two interesting nuggets therein. The first, and most savory of these nuggets was a release date chart which revealed Capcom's plans to bring its upcoming pelt collecting action-RPG Monster Hunter 3 (Tri-) to the U.S. and Europe some time during this fiscal year. For those who slept through Econ 101, that means it should be in your hot little hands before next April Fools' Day.
The second interesting bit was the revelation that Capcom is currently working on nine Wii titles to release in the current fiscal year. We know about six of them: Monster Hunter G (which dropped last month), Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, Resident Evil Archives, Resident Evil Zero Archives, Spyborgs, and now, Monster Hunter 3. What could the other three titles be? Further reboots of old series? Another Archived Resident Evil? Brand new franchises? We may never know. No, wait -- yes, we will. Sorry about that.

Well, I was going to say looks like the number of new wii games I"m getting this year has gone up to 1, but since they said fiscal year that may change things.

No, I took the 250 the post office sent me and ended up preordering infamous (if it sucks i'll just return it before 7 days for the refund) and saving the rest for any downloadable announcements for E3. So the wii will have to wait a few more months

It'll be an interesting day when you do buy one. I can't wait for your first "gathering dust" comment.

Oh it'll likely happen, as there's nothing but this on the horizon barring any E3 surprises. You'll have to give me some time to catch up on the few games I've missed out on before I say that though :P

I finally got around to playing the demo for Infamous and I thought it was awesome. I think it's going to be a fantastic game. I was kind of surprised how many of the gameplay elements from Sly Cooper actually transfered over to Infamous. It's a no brainer day 1 for me.

So, you don't have an extra $250 plus tax lying around to get one?

Does anyone else not care about RE A and REZ A besides me?

Sorry about that baby sea tuna,
if you have not played either the GameCube's RE or REZ, you're in for a REAL treat, especially the RE remake.
IMO, if you've beaten or own either GameCube RE title(s), there's little reason to repurchase the games.

Well it looks like my brother, who is a consummate Sony fanboy and also a lover of MH, is either going to have to give in and buy a Wii or just resign himself to depression. I think he's put almost 300 hours into the PSP's MH2GPortable or whatever it was called. Granted, he was in Iraq at the time, so I don't know what else he really had to do, but he keeps telling me how awesome that game was.

Hopefully these games are better than Capcoms recent offerings on the Wii.

Should be. For both Monster Hunter III and Darkside Chronicles, they're claiming Best Graphics Evar for Wii, and they seem to be doing interesting things with Darkside Chronicles, while Monster Hunter III will promise countless hours of something resembling fun (depending on your definition). Spyborgs is up in the air

Good, considering the lack luster advertising of games like Madworld and GTA: Chinatown they should consider more advertising.

Great news !!!
I bet Strret Fighter IV will come to Wii ! A far better idea than bringing Dead Rising...
Maybe a new Megaman ( Metroid style ).
Or maybe they are working on Nintendo franchise ( like they did for Zelda back on GBA ).
Can't wait E3 :)

Oh dear. Another case of game-skipping. Monster Hunter 2 didn't reach the US or Europe on PS2.

I will buy a Wii for MH3! Now I just hope they don't charge monthly for the online.
However, if they release the PC version in the US and charge a monthly fee, I'd gladly pay for that! (Or free with paid premiums. I'd pay for the premium! Like Adventure cats and Cooking bonuses and Material farms.)
