Rock Band fans are already familiar with Pearl Jam. The band has twelve tracks (all from the "Ten" album) available in the game, on disc and as DLC. However, it looks as though there's much more Pearl Jam coming down the line. A collaboration between MTV Games, Rhapsody, and the band's premium 10 Club will allow fans to vote on songs for a forthcoming "Rock Band project." This new project will be Rock Band's "first-ever fan voted set list."
The release is decidedly vague, and opens the possibility for a brand new game (a la Guitar Hero: Metallica, or The Beatles: Rock Band), a retail track pack (a la Rock Band: AC/DC), or simple DLC. Considering the upcoming "project" will exclusively feature live music, we're leaning on a retail track pack -- who's up for some Rock Band: Pearl Jam?
[Thanks, Eric!]

Yes, PJ is pretty amazing live, but well... certain songs aren't. Corduroy is in no way, shape or form even close to it's studio version. Neither is Leash. Neither is World Wide Suicide. That's just for me, at least.

Pearl Jam is the worst band ever next to ICP.

I'm so excited to watch HMX fanboys simultaneously try to defend this and bash on Guitar Hero.
But if there's one thing that I've learned from this whole rhythm war, it's that HMX fanboys can and will say the dumbest shit ever to defend The Master.

Here's the thing...If the tracks are exportable, then your point is moot. As long as all the tracks can be played in Rock Band 2, it matters not how many "expansions" they release.
The Beatles are the exception to the rule. Both Metallica and aerosmith could have been DLC, or even exportable track packs, but nooo, they had to be full blown games.

Also, I will not be satisfied with Pearl Jam content until we get Dirty Frank.

Hmm. If I was a Guitar Hero fanboy, then why do I own RB, RB2, and certainly plan on picking up whatever this Pearl Jam business is?
You've mistaken my hatred of Rock Band fanboys (the worst in the industry) for hatred of Rock Band. Based on your clear lack of intelligence, you seem to be justifying my stance. Thanks.

Another confusing absence is Dissident. In fact, why not just release the entire Vs. and Vitalogy albums as DLC (just like Ten). I'd buy both immediately!
Also, I hope (pray) they include Footsteps, and I definitely agree that Yellow Ledbetter should be on this list as well.

I hope they do this with some other bands. I like the idea. I really wish I'd see more of the bands I love though... Anyone know the name of the studio that wants more money from HMX but HMX refuses to pay more?

They can do as many retail releases as they want but the songs better be importable. They can get away with it for The Beatles, that shit won't fly with anybody else, even Pearl Jam.
