wow, regarding "The Tools" section, the last thing I want to see is every fucking game use UE3.

in fact it seems like a stupid article, the tools section just has more fluff about episodic gaming being the new way to release triple A games. The only triple A games are the ones with buckets of publisher money, that's what makes them triple A. Psychonauts might have been triple A quality, but not when it came to marketing and sales. Not to mention that the only real successful episodic series of games has been Half Life 2, and we still have to wait about the length of a full game development cycle for those to be released.

No offense to Epic fans but I really don't see the appeal to the UE3 either. Besides some decent graphical quality and maybe easier development? They still need to fix those textures pop up issues. I think we've come pretty far for that to not be a problem in almost every game the engine is featured in.

If possible, I'd prefer people to shift their focus to the Source Engine (once Valve gives it a few up-to-date tweaks of course), if they're even licensing it that is.

Correction. We have to wait longer than a full development cycle for the Half-Life Episodes.

Actually I agree in part with her view. I feel like the future of PC is going to be in smaller developers that are self funded rather than big publishers like E-DRM-A.

These games might not have the graphics like some AAA titles but I think in creativity and gameplay they can bring the PC back to the forefront.

There shall in that time be rumors of things going astray, erm, and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the sort of raffia-work base, that has an attachment. At that time, a friend shall lose his friend's hammer, and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before, about eight O'clock.

Yah, they off and make little companies, do good and get bought up by big companies again. Then all these employees are let go soon as these big companies see their stocks take a dive.
