Blizzard confirms Grunty, the Marine Murloc, as BlizzCon giveaway

Blizzard recently mrguggugguggled that Grunty, the Space Marine Murloc, will be one of the giveaways in the BlizzCon 2009 goody bag. Those who purchase the DirecTV pay-per-view will also receive a redemption code for the little gurgler with a gun. So, if you aren't looking to go down the DirecTV route, you'd best be prepared to get your golden ticket when the rapid fire purchasing begins May 16.

Damn straight.. I'm so jonesing for starcraft 2 that I'd actually start playing wow again if I got one of these :o

Back when I was addicted to World of Warcrack I was always uber jealous of people with Blizzcon pets.

That jealousy continues.

Just like with smoking cigarettes, i will never try WoW, simply because i know that i'm the sort to be woefully addicted to it. Titan Quest is bad enough, and Diablo 3 is going to be aweful.

By aweful, i mean it'll absorb every precious moment of my gaming time like a giant time-absorbing sponge.

I want a WoW account just for this pet.

Tried WoW for like a year, on and off for a couple months. I actually found it boring, and plodding, not to mention it didn't engage me at all.
Oblivion ruined my life.

It's a lot easier to get into if you play with people you already know when you start.

Will you get the pet if you pay for the online stream of Blizzcon? I no longer have DirectTV and want the damn pet.

it follows you around, and it makes cute little sounds when you click on it. I imagine it will also have a /dance animation as well as an idling animation

This post made me feel like I had a stroke. I understood very little. There's a what? I like TV!

So I'm not going to BlizzCon, nor do I have DirecTV. How do I obtain said pet? DirecTV sucks. Oh look it's raining, I guess we're not watching TV tonight. Way to fail Blizzard.

I live in Phoenix. DirecTV rules here.

This year they are also doing an internet stream for non Direct TV owner.
