MTV and Hollywood movie baron Jerry Bruckheimer made their union official this morning, lifting the 17-month shroud of secrecy off their joint venture, oh-so-creatively dubbed Jerry Bruckheimer Games. The new studio will be steered by former Microsoft exec and Halo 3 executive producer, Jim Veevaert, as the company's president of production. Veevaert will share the wheel with Jay Cohen, who joined the studio in March, his role now revealed as the company's president of development.
What Cohen and company will be developing exactly, however, remains a mystery, with the studio saying only that it will create original IPs that "convey and reflect the high standards of entertainment value set by Jerry Bruckheimer." For fans of shaky cams and explosions, one thing's for certain -- finally there's a studio out there with your best interests at heart.

Fantastic... so now we can have a bunch of games that have the same music, 27 million things blowing up for no reason, the cliche 'low camera shot of people walking away from a helicopter in slow motion', and no story. Awesome.

So, I get to play as Nicolas Cage? And therefore, could kill myself in multiple ways?

God mode, rocket launcher, Solid Snake's headband from MGS2 and more red barrels than the entire Half-Life series.

I'm excited for billowing capes and slow-motion exploding birds. Also, every character will be a ridiculous stereotype, so yeah, I'm in.

He did produce Black Hawk Down which was awesome, also the first Pirates of the Caribbean was good too. The rest of his stuff is pretty awful though.

The first game will have Michael Bay as the overall director and it will star famous actors. Bruce Willis, a close to retire cop who doesn't play by the rules. Will Smith, a drunk but effective cop trying to wash away the memories of the Gulf War. Together they must stop Megatron from cloning himself and sending the clone into space to ignite a bomb that will send a massive asteroid towards earth. Its up to Willis and Smith to fly the untested alien ship to destroy the asteroid before its too late. Along they way they run into space pirate Shia LeBullshit and become friends with him before its too late. That way they can defeat the Kraken and stop Megatron.

You forgot the part where they meet Jeff Goldblum and he re-routes the encryption of the alien ship so Bruce and Will are able to operate it.
