I'm a little confused, what does it mean for it to be standalone? Does that mean I can download any of these?

It just means that you can play the tracks off the disc, with a stripped down version of the game included. That's cool because it means people who don't own Rock Band can pick this up for cheaper than a full-price game and play it. And of course, if it's for a next-gen console, you'll also be able to use a code to link it your PSN/XBox account and export the tracks off the disc to be stored on your console as Rock Band DLC, which is all most people use these things for.

Needs 2 people. Brad Paisley and Keith Urban, those are the best country guitarists.

Definitely Brad paisley and George Strait. I've never listened to Keith Urban. Not that George Strait is a guitar player much, but you could play the breaks of his band. Hey, I want a pedal steel controller. Maybe there already is one? I don't have Rock Band cause I don have a console. But I'm always tempted whenever I go in to Best Buy.

As a long time fan of Country Music I have to say WTF on a lot of this. Alan Jackson has a least 10 songs I would put before good time "Chattahoochee" would make a great rock band song(the orginal studio cut from A lot about livin'). Brooks & Dunn It has to be "Boot Scootin' Boogie". And come on you have Dierks Bentley and its not "What was I thinking" FAIL I SAY FAIL

Then again other than that its an ok list but those are major failures in my book and "the Gamber" is a good pickup

I agree, what is this mix of random crap?! I can think of plenty of better country songs with good guitar work. It seems this was put together by a bunch of suits that don't listen to country simply going through tracks and deciding "the guitar on this one sounds good."

I'm not really a country fan, but the two 5-packs they put on DLC had some pretty catchy tunes that were fun to play. If you can get your stick out of the mud this ought to be a worthwhile purchase.

I sure hope they make these other tracks available through DLC in a pack. I have all but 7 of the tracks listed, and if it winds up being just those 7 tracks, buying them as DLC would be much cheaper for me than $30.

Where have I been all day? Oh yeah, that's right. Meetings.

Great variety here. I'd love to see more of this kind of thing. I don't know how this stuff sells, but it spreads the audience around better than the metal fest we endured a few months ago.

I hate to do a little shameless self-promotion, but stop by and check out www.gamblertuesday.com

Every Tuesday, you can get your dose of The Gambler performed by various artists.

With that said, just to get my hands on The Gambler makes me want to go out and pick up Rock Band 2.

Will definitely pick this up just for "The Gambler.." Yeah, this coming from a big metalhead like me. It's such a great song from the days when mainstream country music was still good.

I just can't get into the crap that seems to pass for it these days. All of these new songs I hear on the rare occasion I brave the local country station sound like dime-a-dozen pop songs about how "country" the singer is. The genre is in dire need of a revival. Will there ever be another Johnny Cash, Hank Williams Jr, Willie Nelson or, yes, Kenny Rogers?

I sure as hell hope these are available individually because I'm not a country music fan.

I am not the biggest country fan but I still can't believe they have not put together a Kenny Chesney pack. Summertime, Beer in Mexico, When the Sun Goes Down, I Go Back. It would sell really well. So they finally get a Kenny Chesney song and it is from his older period before he became huge. Lame
