PETA attacks Take-Two over Ringling Bros. on Wii
Take-Two's upcoming Ringling Bros. game for Wii and DS looks to recreate all of the stuff you'd see at a real-life circus show. And that's why PETA hates it so much.
In a blog post, PETA sends out a call to arms, asking folks to send Ben Feder, Take-Two's CEO, an email asking him to cease and desist development on the game. In fact, PETA already did most of the work for you by filling out the subject line and body of your potential email with things we're sure you'd want to say to the CEO of a multi-million dollar company.

It's a fucking video game.
Opprobrius Maximus @ May 13th 2009 5:06PM
It's just a video game - that contains smiling black men and elephants. It can only go downhill.
Jason Statham (Aka Vegeta) @ May 13th 2009 5:09PM
SMILING BLACK MEN???
Well that, my good man, is racist. I am offended.
ArchGamer @ May 13th 2009 5:11PM
@ Jason
You're African American? Here I was thinking you were British...
Duke @ May 13th 2009 5:17PM
Guys, whenever Ringling Bros. does anything PETA pitches a fit - so nobody should be shocked that its over a game this time around. If it was RB brand anything PETA would scream.

Racist summabitch
Duke @ May 13th 2009 5:25PM

Jake B @ May 13th 2009 5:27PM
I have no problem with being called white, in fact, I would prefer it to Irish-American.
pumkin54 @ May 13th 2009 5:38PM
@ArchGamer
British people can't be black??
Duke @ May 13th 2009 5:47PM
Yeah I was just kidding with ya.
Anticrawl @ May 13th 2009 5:59PM
I'm sure PETA would have a field day with Dragon Age if this upset em, what with all the animal killing.

Mmmmm blood and violence.
ArchGamer @ May 13th 2009 6:04PM
@ pumpkin54
Yes, but I don't think Jason Statham is black, at least in appearance.
Brodo @ May 13th 2009 10:20PM
ummm... I feel really sorry for anyone who owns this game.
I dont care which age, i still feel bad
FantomRedux @ May 14th 2009 3:21PM
@ArchGamer
Because all black people are African-American, even the ones who have never been to America.
They're called black people for the same reason white people are called white people.
G-Anderton @ May 13th 2009 5:06PM
is it just me or did this disappear 3 seconds after being posted only to be re-posted another 3 seconds later?

It's the magic of the Stiq.
Also, you can't delete your comments, another magical element of the Stiq.

Jason Statham (Aka Vegeta) @ May 13th 2009 5:10PM
What you did there...
I see it.
Pimliconite @ May 13th 2009 5:07PM

Cena @ May 13th 2009 5:08PM
Lol PeTA fails again.
ArchGamer @ May 13th 2009 5:10PM
We need a version PETA in order to stop PETA.
EMaster @ May 13th 2009 5:13PM
We can call it MEATA: Members Eating All The Animals
NaeemTHM @ May 13th 2009 5:13PM

@ Zantac
I'd follow that notion to ends of the earth.

"We can call it MEATA: Members Eating All The Animals"
No, we'll still call it PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals
Just to piss them off.

Oh PETA. It's kind of cute how desperate they are to get attention.
WiredKnight @ May 13th 2009 8:43PM
Can we have the name of the article changed to just "PETA Attacks"?
EMaster @ May 13th 2009 5:11PM
I think Peta needs to Relax and have a nice warm, toasted roast beef Sub from subway and forget about everything..... oh wait. Thee the reason PETA is so angry and vengeful all the time is because they are Vegans. Which means they are missing some essential vitamins and minerals in their diet they have to take in pill form. I heard Iron deficiency does that to ppl. Makes 'em moody.
Hydrophobicfish @ May 13th 2009 5:37PM
Peta are retarded idiots, there's no question about that.
But just because they're retarded doesn't give people who oppose them the right to be so too.
The simple fact that they're vegans doesn't alter their mood/mentality enough to make them behave the way they do. Iron deficiency is not a common problem among non-carnivorous people, Iron is very common among a lot of plant life (and for the record, protein is too, even moreso common).
On top of which, you say they take it in pill form (thus getting it) but they have a deficiency of it?
Come on... don't fight retards with more retardation... fight it with information.
RedSonRising @ May 13th 2009 5:13PM
peta is a joke. what little good that group does is undone every time they 'protest' something stupid. IMO theyve lost focus and spend more time trying to generate publicity for the organization than the causes they 'believe in".
B3astofthe3ast @ May 13th 2009 5:16PM
I'd say you hit the nail on the head. +1
AsherR @ May 13th 2009 5:23PM
They seem to enjoy spending more time generating money. They get huge donations from celebs and then right off the celebs for having practices that they are against. They also put 95% of the animals they took into their shelter asleep.
Hypocricts. Not only do they encourage radical destruction and implied killing of humans, the bastards kill animals themselves. In 2000, the head of PETA said that the shelter they run could be a no-kill shelter. Then why isn't it? Because it costs too much money even though they bring a ton of celeb money in for their asinine cause.
Sorry, I'm raging today. I hate these super hypocritical bastards.
Mitsuo @ May 13th 2009 7:02PM
@asher
It could be a no-kill shelter. They just send the animals they want to kill off to some other site. THUS the shelter it self is "no-kill"
NaeemTHM @ May 13th 2009 5:13PM
This is all I have to say:
http://www.consumerfreedom.com/pressRelease_detail.cfm/release/258
"WASHINGTON DC – Today the nonprofit Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) published documents online showing that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) killed 95 percent of the adoptable pets in its care during 2008. Despite years of public outrage over its euthanasia program, the animal rights group kills an average of 5.8 pets every day at its Norfolk, VA headquarters."
Yeah...go fuck yourselves Peta.
charlie b. @ May 13th 2009 5:26PM
really, after that, what more can be said?
Chris D.(PSN: Aggie_CEO | XBL:The Aggie CEO | Steam: Aggie_CEO @ May 13th 2009 5:28PM
Gat Dayum!!!
ummmm yea why ARE they still talking?? they killed more Dogs than Mike Vick
Squoze @ May 13th 2009 5:16PM
This game is a day one purchase now.
John Perkins @ May 13th 2009 5:33PM
Agreed. I may buy it simply because PETA is against it. Maybe it will be my donation to Child's Play this year.
NathanGodfrey @ May 13th 2009 5:34PM
Really? Enjoy your $50 horrible waggle-based minigame collection. That'll learn'em.
BlaqueBeird @ May 13th 2009 8:09PM
@Nathan
I think you're missing the point. Try to keep up.
NathanGodfrey @ May 14th 2009 7:57AM
I completely get "voting with your dollar". What I don't get is paying a premium for casual tripe. Though I'm glad in this economy you have the expendable income to make purchases as invisible gestures. And yes, I realize no one actually will buy this game as a statement, this is just internet-anonymity fueled braggadocio, making this and my earlier comment, moot.
Ignatius @ May 13th 2009 5:17PM
Just stop posting stuff about PETA and they will go away, they're real life forum trolls.
The Dark Wayne @ May 13th 2009 5:23PM
we could all do that, but greedy celebrities eager to get their image across as "green friendly" will keep doing naked ads for PETA because they have no fucking idea how hypocritical and stupid the organization is
Mitsuo @ May 13th 2009 7:52PM
Their the next Jack Thompson.
PedoJokerBear (aka Deeznuts) @ May 13th 2009 5:22PM
