Beyond Good & Evil 2 likely skipping E3
According to UGO, it looks like Beyond Good & Evil 2: Pey'j and Jade's Bogus Journey (working title*) will not be appearing at E3. When booking E3 appointments, UGO was told by Ubisoft, "We're not doing any BG&E stuff at E3." Furthermore, Ubisoft even said not to expect a showing of the game during its press conference.
So, there you go, don't expect any BG&E 2 news or hands-on sessions. Rest assured though, if we hear anything different when we touch down in LA, we'll be clawing our way to the front of the line for a chance to play. Not because we're dying to play it. No, we'll do it for you.

Boo!
That leaked footage was amazing... animations so smooth and fluent.

I hope you know it was never confirmed to be actual in game footage.. for all we know it was CGI

Thus the word leaked, but honestly in this day in age using CG footage to look like ingame footage can lead to a Killzone effect. But seeing what the Euphoria engine can do and what some in house engines are doing, I think it was most likely a ingame video or a test.

Fairly certain it was confirmed, or at least widely accepted, that it was a "Proof of Concept" video. Meaning that's what Ubisoft is gonna shoot for in the actual game. Here's hoping it's true and they can pull it off.
Either that or there's a BGE fan out there lookin' for a job.

I take that back actually Dragon Age has been in known development longer.

That supposed leaked footage had my eyes glued to my computer screen for it's entirety. Why, after hearing that BG&E (which always reminds me of my utilities provider, Baltimore Gas & Electric) may skip E3, do I feel this game may never get finished?
FraGNeM @ May 14th 2009 6:23PM
What makes you think it's anywhere close to being in showable, playable form?
They simply haven't spent much time in development yet. In the announcement trailer, they were said to have just started production.

On a whim I re-bought the original for the PS2. I played it about 4 years ago on the gamecube, and thought it was outstanding. I'm excited to relive that feeling.

Methinks ya'll are gonna get a closed doors demo that you won't be able to talk about cuz of an NDA. It's okay, Joystiq. We still luv ya.

All we can hope now is for a TGS or more preferably a PAX showing, though also not likely.
