PSN Thursday: Zen and the art of cheating at Poker

It's a little lame that Kung Fu isn't free in Canada, but at least it's easy enough to get.

For Ragdoll it says "free for one week", I'm guessing it's a time limited trial.

Ragdoll isn't a time trial. If you highlight the game and press triangle it'll bring up the info. It clearly says NO TIME LIMIT. The game is FREE to anyone who downloads it during this week. After that they start charging again to anyone who either didn't have a PS3 this week or who just didn't download it for whatever reason.

Game is fun, I love the look of it and the music is fantastic. But the lack of online multiplayer is an odd choice. It'd be so much better if it had it.

Anyone buy Zen Pinball? It looks like fun.

Well, if it isn't time limited I'm of two minds about this sort of promotion. Free is always good, but add me to the list of people who paid money for this in the last 2 weeks. From now on, I'm not buying another PSN title for at least a couple of months after they've been released. That's a lesson I've learned from Steam after paying full price for games that have dropped to almost nothing a few weeks later.

It's a weird situation, no doubt about it. Is it only free for a time, while Sprint's sponsoring it? I didn't buy it, but I'll try it for free. I did buy Linger in Shadows, which came for free with a free episode of Qore (which I also subscribed to, and I don't think my subscription gets bumped up to make up for the free episodes that everyone got.) It's odd that this pretty new game has dropped to free so soon, but is everyone going to just wait for an indefinite amount of time hoping a game drops in price before buying anything? Sometimes you just pay for being an early adopter, sometimes you get bonus free things.

Even though it was free, I still ended up deleting it. That game is atrocious.
