Oh good -- we hadn't "pulled a Samuel Taylor Coleridge" when we wrote this morning's post about Namco's new WiiWare game, Muscle March. It wasn't a dream and it's even weirder in action than we could have imagined. Namco: please make a US release of this game happen, 'kay? Thanks.

From insanity comes sometimes wonderful things. That is what I feel about Japan; for every weird game that comes out, a unique game follows behind, quickly after another weird game that makes us think Japan is on drugs. And whatever the drug, we, sometimes want it.

On a serious note, this game is trying to have that weirdo Katamari Damacy feel, but here it feels like the makers are trying too hard, no pun intended.

OH!! This game is like the japanese game show where there is a hole cut out cardboard in the shape of a person in a pose and the card board is coming at you at high speeds and you have to imitate the pose of shown in the hole otherwise you'll be bashed by the card board. It's a pretty unique idea for the Wii except I could do with out the muscular people.

Yeah! I saw a few episodes of it and it was pretty funny. Not too surprised it's not on anymore. Remember seeing the one round where they cover the person's eyes, and have their teammates coach them on how to get into the right position, and ended up seeing the person get totally smoked in the face by the wall.

Actually saw that on TV when I was in Japan a year back. I remember one of the contestant being this really tall dude who broke the foam board in half

This is unbelievably awesome. Namco MUST bring this over to the US if only for the comedy value.

I would buy that for the same reason I imported Pepsi Man for PSX and the move The Calamari Wrestler: sometimes weird shit is awesome just because it's weird.

Admittedly, I'm one of those weirdos who genuinely enjoys pattern repetition games. Even without the wacky "I'm a muscle bound polar bear and you stole my protean powder" trappings, it still looks like it'll easily be worth $10-15.

I wish this game had a chance of making it over here to America.

i think this game looks frickin awesome. i am disappointed that it will most likely not be coming to the states. i have to admit, it does look pretty gay. but why should that disturb me? does it disturb all of these guys in here because they find themselves getting chubbies watching it?
