Draw - Earth is destroyed however, and the fabric of time itself is left damaged beyond repair.

I'll think of it as a consolation prize after losing Duke. :(

I used to love DN3D. But seriously, like the ex-girlfriend who finally stops saying that you guys might someday get back together (the lie she told you when she dumped you to make it easier), DNF needed to leave.

Yea, imagine three million headless, bomb-carrying guys screaming AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH at you? Mind-blowing, no pun intended.

GLEE! Sam was the king of overkill. All they have to do is give us cool weapons and an ungodly amount of enemies on screen to point them at, and I'll be happy!

Was Serious Sam 2 any good? I loved the first game, but didn't find the demo for 2 (not second encounter) as fun as the first.

Loved playing this co-op on PC. Hours of mindless fun.

Is that Ken Shamrock?

Serious Sam is how a FPS is meant to be - it's a real test of skill and endurance.

Gears of War 2 seems child-like in comparison.

Is Serious Sam supposed to look like Trent Reznor or did Trent just happen to start looking like him?

HA! I was wondering if anyone else was thinking the same thing because I totally thought of Trent Reznor when I say that pic. Nice to see I'm not alone there.

Hopefully it's more like Serious Sam episodes 1 and 2 and not the misstep that was Serious Sam 2.

lawl, I just played through Serious Sam: The First Encounter for the first time like two days ago... and I absolutely loved it. Definitely a timeless FPS, and I am excited that they are working on a new one :)

Serious Same 2 (actually that was a typo, but perhaps a Freudian Typo) was actually pretty good, though there was a bit of "where the eff am I supposed to go know?!" to it.

There's always room for a serious sam game - I'd like to see them do something really cool with all those next-gen shaders, and not have that "filthy" look of most games today.

I loved Serious Sam 1st and 2nd Encounter, but I never got around to playing Serious Sam 2. The 300ft(?) boss from the first game is truly an epic gaming moment.

I'm not much of a PC gamer but Serious Sam would be an instant buy from me considering the amount of fun I had with the first two killing hoards of aliens.

They supposedly announced it back in 2005. There were even some screens and all. http://www.nofrag.com/images/002d82.jpg
Anyway, I hope it's better than SS2.

Does anyone else think that these would be the ideal guys to pick up Duke Nukem Forever? The Serious Sam games have always been similar in humour, if not game design as a whole to Duke Nukem. And didn't they just say they started development of TWO games? Interesting, very interesting.

Damn I miss both Serious Sam Games - I cannot stand most FPS's today.

If you liked Serious try another cheapo Jap Monster Shooter called EDF 2017 - in the mold of StarShip Troopers and Giant Ants, Spiders, Alien Robots and humorous to boot. Spent 4 months getting to 100% 176 weapons and completion on all 53 levels at five degree's of difficulty without double controller cheating. Best $20 I've spent.

Been waiting for years for a Serious Sam follow-up on 360 and EDF 2017 helps but that old Elvis Sam and constant enemies and Monsters and vastness of play and size is far better than most FPS today.
