kinda lame
samandgonzie @ May 15th 2009 5:43PM
really everyon is being this gay about the game. well okay whatever i just downloaded the game, its early release was yesterday and i played it i loved it. i am not a rock band fan and i loved it, its fun and chalanging. for those who say other wise, are just being retarded.
solarshadows074 @ May 16th 2009 7:16PM
that dark alex fellow who made custom firmwares for psp's are one of the people who destroyed this handheld.
Roofie @ May 15th 2009 1:54PM
I'm not really sold on this game, and the tracklist isn't helping. Even the exclusives aren't really a great selling point (whereas Lego Rock Band had "The Final Countdown" which is a really good way to sell a game).
So I don't know. I'll wait to play it.
HighFiveJesus @ May 15th 2009 1:55PM
pinball wizard!
aj @ May 16th 2009 3:16AM
Here comes Ivan the old sooty engine driver with his PSP.....
Billop @ May 15th 2009 1:55PM
The game is meh. it gets confusing playing all those instruments. Its supposed to flow, but when you miss a note it restarts and aarrrg. It can get frustrating :(
Black Mage @ May 15th 2009 4:04PM
And you would know because....
Billop @ May 16th 2009 10:38AM
It was leaked, duh
cutmaclass @ May 16th 2009 11:36AM
You obviously haven't played Frequency or Amplitude.
VaultICEE @ May 16th 2009 4:13PM
That's what makes the game original and challenging, bro.
The_Punisher @ May 15th 2009 1:55PM
Wow, at least half of that list has already been in other Gh's. Still, it's a nice song list.
MarkHawk @ May 15th 2009 2:16PM
Almost all are in RB already as well but it is a more casual game. it's not out yet and amp was great so I'll wait till I get my hands on it.
Billop @ May 15th 2009 1:57PM
Also i'd like to add, the sound quality is really good. Better than any normal PSP game ive played.
Archon (PSN: Archonik, XBL: DarkARHN) @ May 15th 2009 2:00PM
The track list only got revealed because the game got leaked, isn't that right?
I'm mad that happened. I was really hoping this game would sell well, as I really respect Harmonix as a company... But now? The game got leaked a month before release. That means a HUGE drop in sales.
Damn you PSP's security for being so broken. :/
I'm still buying it though. And the tracklist... Am I the only one who likes it?
I had a chance to try the game itself and it is fantastically fun to play. Can't wait to get my hands on it when it releases. Gimme.
Billop @ May 15th 2009 2:18PM
You should be happy the security is amazing on RB unplugged then. You cant go into sleep mode in it (i dont know whether you can in the full game or not), but the worst/best thing is sometimes it can wipe out every game on your psp! I had to put 6 gigs worth of PSX games back on.
Roofie @ May 15th 2009 2:22PM
It's not that you're the only one who likes it, it's just that everyone else already liked it on RB/previous GH games.
KeenCommander @ May 17th 2009 3:00AM
Every system gets hacked to some degree. The problems with the PSP are problems WITH THE PSP, not with hacking on the PSP. I think that this game will, by standards for the console, sell well - and unless the game doesn't live up to standards and the leak leads to negative hype, I don't think that the leak will have a meaningful impact on sales compared to the piracy that would start if it was just dumped on the first day it was released.
jfradio @ May 23rd 2009 10:51AM
Dude i like it too. The leak has some issues. (actually some leaks are horrible and some arent) I am going to buy the game on june 9th because i dont want any bugs or something on my psp. :) ROCK BAND IS GOING TO BE AMAZING. The set list is really good. and the dlc is even better. Who wouldnt want to buy this game. I wish they had a damn demo for this game. (for all the non-hacker fuckers) like me. RESISTANCE
AndrewNoNumbers @ Jun 24th 2009 9:42AM
Why would you not respect Harmonix anymore because the game was leaked? It only damages their sales.
charlie b. @ May 15th 2009 2:00PM
WHEEEE, Siouxsie and the Banshees ^_^
however, if i have to hear "Today" one more time, i'm going to fucking scream.
shawn @ May 15th 2009 2:00PM
glad to see the pirates represent...... arrrrgh me matey
MrSpaceCowboy @ May 15th 2009 2:04PM
I can't wait till ABC comes to the PS3/360 music stores.
I can pretend I'm Tito! And when the song ends, I'll fade into obscurity and become a punchline.
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ May 15th 2009 2:16PM
Yeah, I can't wait to play ABC on my PS3.
BTW, best comment I've read all day!
Manly Mcbeefington (Mr. ESC) @ May 15th 2009 2:05PM
This is what I hate about rhythm games. They have some groups I like but not the songs I like from them or at least the most popular.
For example chop suey is good but I'll like Toxicity for this game even more.
Smashing Pumpkings is okay but why it can be The beginning is the end,the end is the beginning instead?
Pearl Jam is fine but I would like Do the evolution or Jeremy.
Nirvana too be honest i just like "Smells like teen spirit" from them.
(They could have chosen better stuff for 2000''s must of those songs suck)
Manly Mcbeefington (Mr. ESC) @ May 15th 2009 2:05PM
*most
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ May 15th 2009 2:19PM
I think we've all got our, "I wish they had picked THIS song instead" list.
Pumpkins? Give me 1979 and Tonight, Tonight.
Nirvana? Definitely Teen Spirit.
THE Ezio Auditore de Firenze (PSN slycooper_rocker) @ May 15th 2009 5:44PM
yeah, definitely 1979 for the pumpkins. but this tracklist is WIN just because of would? by alice in chains.
VaultICEE @ May 16th 2009 4:16PM
Just because songs are the most popular don't mean they are the most fun to play in the game.
I can honestly say that I think Smells Like Teen Spirit would be LESS fun to play than Drain You, for guitar anyways. Not that I don't want the song to be in RB, which I do, but you have to listen to the way the instruments play and realize which would be more fun to simulate.
MarkHawk @ May 15th 2009 2:09PM
Does "exclusive to Rock Band Unplugged for a limited time." mean it's coming to Rock Band 2 soon?
Brent @ May 15th 2009 2:12PM
I'm getting sick of these games, not because of the gameplay but because it's the same fucking songs over and over. Ugh. there's more music out there, people!
aj @ May 16th 2009 3:19AM
They keep trying to make "Indie Rock Hero", but bands go from popular to hated so fast it's impossible to get a track list together.
baby sea tuna @ May 15th 2009 2:18PM
The gameplay better be killer, cause I'm already sick of all of those songs.
Deaddy @ May 15th 2009 2:19PM
Ahh, I hate Pinball Wizard. I think they're making a mistake duplicating so much of the Rock Band 2 track list. The only way I would buy a PSP version is if all the songs could only be found on PSP. Even then I wouldn't buy it, but I just think it would make the game more appealing. I hope they put What's My Age Again on the console versions though.
MrSpaceCowboy @ May 15th 2009 2:27PM
What's My Age Again is on the consoles. It's available as DLC.
I do totally agree with the point about duplicating the RB2 track list a lot. If you have RB2, why would you get this?
HazyCloud @ May 15th 2009 2:32PM
It is not available yet. RTA.
BPMOmega [gamertag] @ May 15th 2009 2:33PM
Because:
1. It's portable.
2. It's not Rock Band. It's Amplitude/Frequency with Rock Band branding.
Dyson @ May 15th 2009 2:27PM
Wait. So they fit 41 tracks on a UMD which is what? 1.8 gigs? What a waste of blu-ray resources these games have been so far. :D
The_Punisher @ May 15th 2009 2:36PM
Uhhhh.....amp?
Neuromancer @ May 15th 2009 2:37PM
This tracklist makes me sad for a true Frequency/Amplitude sequel.
Angel Mass @ May 15th 2009 2:49PM
System of a Down - "Chop Suey!"
WIN!
Deaddy @ May 15th 2009 3:10PM
You might be thinking of Dammit.
Shadow_neji @ May 15th 2009 3:13PM
I HAVE THE GAME AND IS NOT THAT GOOD
mydoom.b @ May 15th 2009 3:31PM
It's a really awesome game from what I've played so far (just out of the first city) and I will gladly get this on day one, here's to hoping for pre-order goodies.
Dr. Stabbingworth @ May 15th 2009 3:33PM
Remember when everyone jumped on Capcom and others for announcing DLC before the game even came out? Why is this different?
(Note: I don't care either way; this is merely an observation)
CrashSpyro123 @ May 15th 2009 5:21PM
Because these are all DLC from the console versions and everyone expects DLC for Rock Band games by now. They're still giving you a bunch of songs to play on your own, not taking out an entire mode to sell to you soon after launch.
Brady @ May 15th 2009 8:39PM
Also, because everyone knows the UMD can not possibly hold much more than 41 songs. I do wish they would make some of these songs free DLC though. It doesn't really matter, I haven't played my PSP for over a year and I doubt this game knocks the dust off of it anyway.
SpiderMike @ May 15th 2009 3:46PM
It's a good game. Plays well. Shame there isn't compatibility for a peripheral here and there. Especially if you can connect the PSP to an HDTV. That would have been useful. But as ppl have said, the soundtrack has been on and off each series so nothing THAT new on offer. Still a sound game though.
BFBeast666 @ May 15th 2009 4:33PM
The playlist shows that EA/Harmonix is playing this very, very safe. Most of these songs are on RB/RB2, so the investment in new licenses must be very, very low.
I'll wait for a demo, if the gameplay is ok, I might grab it. If not.... there's always RB2 on my 360 :)
Roto13 @ May 15th 2009 5:18PM
Really not digging that track list.
