Remember The Last Guy -- that odd yet fun downloadable distraction that came out last year? Sure you do, it's too bizarre to be forgotten and, assuredly, Sony hasn't forgotten either. A Blu-ray version will be hitting Japan on May 28 and along with it comes Trophy support and new stages. Of course, a Trophy patch will be made available for those who already own the game. Also, the new stages can be bought as a DLC pack on PSN.
Now the million dollar question is: Are these additions coming our way, too? Perhaps. The Last Guy is Japan's most popular original PSN title (according to a translation done by IGN's Anoop Gantayat) and so it's not odd to see continued support for the game over there. But, how did it fare in North America? Well, it never made the Top 10 downloads list. Despite this, we're thinking the new content won't require much effort to localize and we'll still see it come out over here.

That's funny, I was just thinking about this game the other day. I hope this makes it to the US (the DLC that is).

I enjoyed the demo, but I didn't think it was worth the full $10. I was going to buy it during the $5 sale but I either forgot or was not around.
I'll probably buy it if it gets a trophy patch and cheap/free DLC.

Yeah, I picked this one up when it was on sale for $5, and it remains my favorite PSN game. Hoping they bring the trophies Stateside...

Yay, all PSN games need trophy patches (you'd think it would help with sales since they can' be rented). I've been waiting to play this till it got trophies, can't wait till the patch comes over here (assuming it does, and Im assuming it will :D )

I love TLG- it's one of the very best PSN games available. I'd love to see trophies and new stages, I'd like to play it again and this would give me a great excuse. I'll keep all my fingers crossed for this one...

Burn Zombie Burn! is way better but this game is still addicting. A trophy patch I bet would help sales quite a bit. Trophies are a big thing for PSN gamers right now. I wonder how long trophies making games addicting will last.

Why would they release this on blu-ray and what would they charge? I don't get it.
