Tropico 3 available in North America this September

Banana republic simulator -- nooo, not the clothing store -- Tropico is back for a third iteration this autumn. Publisher Kalypso Games announced today the game will release in North America sometime in September. The game allows players to take control of a Caribbean nation during the Cold War and do with it what they will.
This latest game is being developed by Haemimont Games, which is allegedly taking a "fresh, creative approach" to the first two games developed by PopTop Software.

I literally squealed out owh! When I saw this. I had no idea a third one was in the works, let alone a proper sequal to the 1st game. This was a surprising bit of good news.
Thankfully the screenshots include roads with cars so hopefully in this game keeping all the little people awake and energetic enough to actually f!!!!!! work wont cause the same frustration from tropico 1.
I'm dying for a good new city (or island or nation) builder.

You're bananas :)
Maybe the company that made the Dairy Queen Tycoon game will make one for you.

Mmmm... Tropico.
One of my favorite childhood simulation games right next to SimCity 2000. It certainly had a lot of charm (and cuban jokes). Glad to see its having a proper sequel.

THERE MAKING A THIRD GAME?!?! Me and my brothers loved the first game but we didn't play the second game, but I glad to hear that the third will use a simalar setting as the first.
I wonder what new edicts they will give players, also I wonder if you can get missle solos built on the island if you side with the US or the Soviet Union this time.

Uh oh, nothing spells doom like a new developer on the 3rd iteration of a fun game that says, "fresh, creative approach" :(

Break out the old one in celebration!
Hopefully, this will be as fun as the first 2.

Hopefully they'll have a soundtrack as good as the first. That was really the best part of the game... damnit now I have to go install it again.

I hope they don't screw this up, because I'm so looking forward to this game.

In the fear of getting down voted. Where the hell have I been? Definitely gonna check it out.
