Watch footage of the next World at War DLC ... right now!
It's eight minutes footage of next month's Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2! Alright, alright, it's not the entire map pack, but it does feature the Russian trainyard themed, "Corrosion," as well as "Sub Pens," a map based in a submarine pen.
Sure, we'd love to see video of the purported "hell hounds" coming to "Shi No Numa," the Nazi zombie infested part of the DLC, but wouldn't everyone? We're just going to have to wait until some more video hits the webs from WaW developer, Treyarch. For the whole schebang, hit the break and have a ball!
Update: The YouTube video after the break has been replaced by a couple of GameSpy videos. Check out all their Map Pack 2 videos right here.
[Thanks, John H.!]

That's one way to show them to the public I guess... They really should consider some free DLC between paid ones.
Regular Pants @ May 16th 2009 3:16AM
I agree that occasional free content would be nice. Mountain Dew sponsored DLC for Halo way back when and everybody won. I downloaded it for free and bought excess quantities of the Dew to stay awake whilst playing said content.

A 15 killing spree released Dogs that shot bees when they bark.

Is that gameplay for the PC version or is possible to be that accurate with the analog stick?
Game_playa @ May 15th 2009 4:00PM
As you can see, when it said to open recon plane, arty etc it said to press RIGHT on the D-PAD, so it is console. And one more thing, I play this game on PC too, but I do know that consoles get some kind of accuracy compensation because of the lack of accuracy with the analogs.
baef @ May 15th 2009 4:21PM
the more you play, you can get pretty accurate with the analog controls on a game pad. I could never play FPS games on a console, always missed that mouse and keyboard but CoD4 made me learn.
THE Ezio Auditore de Firenze (PSN slycooper_rocker) @ May 15th 2009 5:41PM
it was the xbox version. you could tell by the prompt that comes up when he had to reload. it was xbox style
Einhanderkiller @ May 15th 2009 6:50PM
Don't COD4/5 on the consoles have a lock-on feature? I think tapping on the button to bring up the ironsights will center your screen on the target if your crosshair is in the general vicinity of your target.
Silencio @ May 15th 2009 7:26PM
@Einhanderkiller
Yeah there's something that sort of locks on. It usually doesn't help at all, though. More often it messes up my aim.
Teph @ May 15th 2009 7:56PM
Yes, it's quite possible.
That's one thing that kinda bugs me. So many people seem to have such a negative attitude towards the gamepad and first person shooters (not to say YOU were being crabby about it, but just gamers in general). You can be QUITE fast and accurate with it, with a little practice.
This isn't to say that I think the gamepad is BETTER than the mouse+keyboard, but no one has ever successfully shown me a portable or comfortable way to sit on my couch with a keyboard and mouse. Don't get me wrong... I'm oldschool mouse+keyboard from my clan days going back to Quake1... but the elitist attitude some people have against the gamepad just really rubs me the wrong way.
I knew a kid in the Halo/Halo2 days that used 10 sensitivity and was WILDLY fast and accurate with it. I'd venture to say he'd have no problem wasting the average veteran PC gamer with the way he played.
So yeah, not necessarily aiming this towards you ESC... but in general gaming community... quit with the hate, emmkay?
Ariel @ May 15th 2009 4:04PM
Are first-person movements STILL so choppy and unrealistic?
"Hey look at me, I've got a gun and I'm floating around on a bumpy flying carpet. I like running into walls!"
DeepFriedSushi @ May 15th 2009 4:33PM
moot point there is no way around it unless you want to make people get motion sickness.
snafuperman @ May 15th 2009 4:24PM
Nice.
nate @ May 15th 2009 4:50PM
Yeah, great. Now if they would only fix the Stat wiping issue. Lost all 20 levels and i cant even create a class anymore. Made a problem ticket on the WAW support page, heres there response.
Response (Raymond Gutierrez) - 05/14/2009 02:59 PM
Unfortunately this is not something we can fix, it is something that Treyarch is looking into and hope to have a solution to as soon as possible, please keep an eye on the www.callofduty.com forums for updates from the developers on this issue.
Game_playa @ May 15th 2009 5:22PM
lol that happened to me too @ Lvl 40. Of course I'm prestige lvl 40 now, but it sucked when it happened though
Ares @ May 15th 2009 6:35PM

Why cant Wii get it? Fucking racists.........
Metalfr3ak @ May 16th 2009 12:31PM
Kinda funny seeing how much DLC W@W gets compared to MW.......Whats up with that? MW got one DLC pack and that was about the end of it.
Dethpop @ May 17th 2009 7:13PM
MW had way more maps than WaW though. two more map packs and maybe WaW can catch up.
