Forgot to mention, I built that machine in the winter of 2007 with pretty much every component being something I found on SlickDeals. Whole thing cost me under $900 including a ThermalTake 700W PSU and a Cooler Master RC690 case. Although, at the time it had an 8800 GT instead of the 4870 I put in there now.

What are you guys using for a cooling solution for your i7's? I'm on the stock cooler for now until I can do more research. That or the koolance solution.

Before any smartass makes a comment, a GTX275 is on the way.

The card isn't DX11, but the OS is running DX11. Sorry for the confusion.

And yeah, I didn't remember the i7 920's stock speed correctly. It's 2.66GHz, double my bad.

For cooling, I'm using the stock heatsink and fan, plus all of the fans in the Antec 1200.

Zerotoss, 1 can easily find out what my specs are, but can't be bothered. It's an off the shelf laptop that's pretty decent IMHO (for what I use it for) and no, I don't game on my PC so I don't need the latest and greatest anything.

Secondly I know how to build a PC,I know what all the main parts do and how they work together. Im already the tech guy in my family.

As you can see, the downvote torrent reflects my feelings; these guys are a little too fanboyish, even to us fanboys.

I somehow don't think my supercomputer will be able to run it. The best thing about my computer is that it's a Mac in a custom case. If you couldn't guess, I'm a console gamer.

this and RE5 coming to PC just provide more reason for me not to buy a "next-gen" 360/ps3

the majority of games I'd be interested in end up coming to PC, where they play/look better.

Lol, don't lie to me Joystiq. My lame, 6-year-old PC can't handle squat. My CPU's not bad at 2.4 GHz, but my 512mb of RAM isn't gunna do much. Not to mention my 35gb HDD does not have 10gb of free space on it... and don't even get me started on my graphics card... it doesn't even support pixel shader version 1.1 (which I recently found out after purchasing TF2 and being disappointed that I couldn't even run a game with such low requirements).

No, Joystiq was right. Anyone with a lame PC can run this. Yours isn't lame, its an artifact. Considering i can build a PC much more powerful than a Ps3 for less than the price of a Ps3 that will run Crysis on all High settings very smoothly, there isn't any excuse for not affording a gaming PC in this day and age.

"Oh hey I'm bragging about my PC being better than yours amicoolyet?"
Please. That's not only annoying, also it's not important to the topic and a big offense to poor people.

I hope Capcom at last takes good care of an important PC port. Most of Capcom's PC ports are rushed and require a beast computer.

Then using a computer fullstop is a big insult to the billions of people without computers. Just admit that you're jealous of the rigs some people have and move along.

Devil May Cry 4 ran great on medium-strength PCs and was a terrific "port" with extra modes not found on the console versions.

I like how a majority of comments on this story are just people stroking their e-peen.

also, question for joystiq; Where did this story come from? i tried looking for a source for verification, but couldnt' find one. Was it a press release?

I wonder if those min specs take into account you really need 60FPS constant in the game. I hope a PC demo comes out so I can see what it looks like (just curious, own it on 360). Also I wonder how minimum graphics settings will look.

To be expected, since the arcade machine SFIV used was basically a P4 3.4 with RAM and a Radeon X1600 or so.

Looking forward to it though!

Does anyone else think 10 GB of hard disk space is a lot for this game to require. I expect that kind of space from excessive RPG's with tons of maps and stuff.

OMG, the jealously that spawns from these comments. Come on people, be civil, don't down-vote others cause your computer sucks and theirs doesn't. That is indeed troll-like behavior.
