$2,500 Xbox shoes, screaming with class

If your bucket list consists of watching $2,500 go up in flames, Sole Junkie has a possible solution in the form of Xbox branded sneakers. The shoes, which are not endorsed by Microsoft or Nike, had been placed on eBay earlier this week, but are (unfortunately?) no longer available for purchase.

In an interview with Yahoo! Games, the California-based artist (with sole canvas) mentioned feedback on the Xbox branded sneakers have been mixed. "The video game community hates the price and the fact I may have taken a beloved iconic gaming system and butchered it," Sole Junkie says, but he is adamant the positive feedback outweighs the negative. At that price, we find that extremely hard to believe.

80s? I still own and wear these all the time. I'm a collector and have almost every color in my size... still on the lookout for the sage green one though...

I don't know how he can sell them with the Xbox logo and the Nike logo if it's not endorsed by such.

The shoes are great for 90 days, then transform into a pair of 2500.00 bricks.

that was not a joke, that was stupid.

You realize, of course, I'm talking about a pair of 2500.00 shoes that glow in the dark.

And, XBOXes, unfortunately, have a high failure rate.

The other joke I had in mind was 'I hope it has little red LEDs to put in after a month or so'.

I love the sneakers (or trainers as they're called over here) but I think that they are way to expensive. Isn't it enough that I fork out hundreds of wads of my hard earned cash just to buy games and consoles but I've gotta shell out $2500 for some shoes!?!?! HELL NOOOO!

$2500...nothing new. This is standard fair for all Microsoft related products....over priced built junk just like the 360.

any one who wastes there cash on these horrible horrible things needs a serious talking to. Hell any one who would consider wearing them needs a talking too. They really suck!

they are not riP offs. they are actual nike sb dunks that dude just customized. that Price is crazy but collectors seem to go crazy for a one of a kind Pair of sneakers. the Person who bought em is Probably way more into sneakers then they ever were into vidoe games. i got a Pair of customized xbox live nike sneakers but i got em for free. They took a trainer that looks like it was designed 20 odd years ago and added the ORIGINAL Xbox logo to them? Get with the times!!

Before these shoes ever get a chance to take hold of the market, a "next generation" shoe will be replace it that will simply fall apart after about a month of use.
