The latest issue of Nintendo Power is reporting that Capcom's other crossover fighter, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, is coming Stateside. According to scans of the issue (via NeoGAF), Nintendo Power claims the fighter -- which Capcom has said (on numerous occasions) it was attempting to bring to North America -- is headed to American shores.
For the uninformed, Tatsunoko vs Capcom is a fighting game for the Nintendo Wii -- currently available only in Japan -- that pits characters from Capcom's vast library versus characters from the Japanese animation studio, Tatsunoko Production. Joystiq has contacted Capcom for a comment.

Well... I hope that they add online play.
Thousands of people already imported the game, and Capcom knows that. Those people won't buy the game again just for the english text.
They need to add online and a couple of new characters, so the people who already imported the game, can buy it again for the added extras.
They did the same to We Love Golf, and it worked very well.

I am trying to remember, is use of the GC controller allowed in this game? I can only see online play being crazy and fast if that controller(Or VC controller) are allowed.

To bad 13 different companies own the rights to the characters protrayed in the Tatsunoko side. Was easy to publish in Japan because they were all owned by the same person. I doubt Capcom will be able to find an agreement for royalties or licenses because some will think there's is worth more than someone elses.

Man, this is insane, kudos to Capcom for being able to pull this off.
Fernando,
Although this is really surprising, more so when even Japanese games such as the Bleach series of fighting games for PSP still dont go outside JP, don't get your hopes up when it comes to adding online features... Capcom has broken gamers hearts many times, just look at the multiple versions of Monster Hunter for PSP, none of them have yet to have online multiplayer ;(
As for the Hadouken, it does look good, but I still like SF4's the best :P

I think one of the reasons CAPCOM hasn't done online for Monster Hunter is the subscription base isn't something common in the US (at least on handhelds/consoles)

uh, none of the MH games for PSP have ever had online multiplayer, even in Japan, not even subscription based ones.
And that's what pisses me off, specially when they went an extra mile with SF4 by even licensing GGPO

I have an imported copy, but I'll probably buy it again, online or not.
Now, if they change Tekkaman's voice to the horribly awesome 70's US dub, I'll seriously buy two copies just because Capcom is so awesome!

That was my first introduction to Tatsunoko characters. I was pretty young when that show aired, but I remember the opening distinctly. One of my favorite cartoons as a young kid.

I don't understand where all the Tatsunoko adoration is coming from, so maybe you folks can help me out. I don't recognize Vidikron's link at all, and I'm 28. I don't seem to recognize any of the characters at all. Am I too old to recognize this stuff, what's the deal?

The game looks pretty impressive but like others I have no idea who most of the Tatsunoko characters are. I'm kind of a big anime fan and I'm certainly old enough to have seen some of this stuff.
Hopefully this rumor turns out to be true and the game is released in North America. I know a lot of people have really been wanting to play a localized version.

Too old? No. Maybe too young for the start of Battle of the Planets. It aired from 1978-1985. But it was reworked and re-aired as G-Force after that. I guess you just missed it.

Battle of the Planets (G-Force) was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid Markez, and I'm three years older than you.
Also, don't tell me you've never seen Speed Racer before. That show alone should have you adoring the name Tatsunoko.

You check out the Red Bull Air Races? Gal and I were laying on the beach at Centennial Park on Coronado, swear it was probably even a better view than a lot of the people on the Embarcadero had. Real cool stuff.

I'm glad you got to see the race. I didn't make it. I overslept. I get off work at 8 in the morning, so me getting up before noon can sometimes be a challenge.
My friend that went told me that you can hear the broadcast of the race on the radio on 800AM. I so want to do this next year!
Also, to clarify, the G-Force video Vidkron posted is not the intro I'm familiar with. I grew up with this one:

I love the 80's synth music!

I didn't like it. Like, at all. I didn't like that there were only three attack buttons, and it controlled really badly for me with the classic controller.
It didn't have enough depth to keep me interested, but some of the minigames were pretty fun. The Wii faithful seem to love it and were heralding it as something really special, but I was pretty disappointed in it.
YMMV.

I dunno, three attack buttons doesn't dissuade me. Heck, SoulCalibur gets away with it just fine (horizontal attacks, vertical attacks, and kicking; and then a guard button).

Oh, totally. Don't take what I said for gospel. It has a big fanbase, and that's why I gave it a shot.
I guess I wasn't used to not having separate buttons for kicks/punches - at least with Street Fighter characters.
And if I liked the controller, odds are I would have given it more of a chance than I did.

That's hilarious. Neogaf posters, Japanese people, videogame importers... I don't know if I'd say that's a sensible way to get a grasp on popular opinion, those are all pretty niche/minority groups themselves. Except I suppose the 'Japanese guys' comment, but the inclusion of that one I think is what gave me the lulz.

But it may be hard to get all of the characters, considering all the copyrights behind all of the individual franchises involved.

First we hear MvC2 coming out, Now TvC going to America. Capcom either you are milking the Vs series(Which I am cool with that) or you really are hinting that you possibly are releasing a new Killer Ap Vs game coming out soon (Hell it could even be a Namco vs Cap remake though that would be DS likely)

Namco X Capcom was an RPG, not a fighting game. Closer in line to Cross Edge which is indeed coming stateside. Or Super Robot Wars Taisen OG Saga.

The only way NxC would have a chance to arrive in America would be when Capcom offers the rosters of Cyberbots and Tech Romancer as playable SRW characters.
Either way, I'd be still pissed off @ Namco Bandai for not taking that chance/asking Capcom for Cyberbots/Tech Romancer.

I hope in 2018, it would either be Marvel VS Capcom 3 (all balanced up, no more "BLAM BLAM BLAM VIPER BEAM! BLAM BLAM BLAM VIPER BEAM! BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM! BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM BLAM!) or a new one.

Would a Nintendo Vs Capcom be acceptable? They already let Sega have have Mario vs sonic in the Olympics, it would be fair to allow Capcom to Use Mario as well.

It wouldn't really fit for Nintendo characters outside Captain Falcon or Samus. I mean, you could stretch the moves that SSBB has to make them over the top (Marios fireball is now a Hadoken, Links spin attack is a Hurricane Kick) but it just doesn't seem like a fit
