Why is this not a show yet? The personalities of the characters are already so fleshed out. Seems like a no brainier. I would pay per episode to see it.

TF2:The Movie would hardly be competition to Pixar, since it'd hopefully be rated R. I'd watch it opening day though. Best "Meet the..." yet.

I know it's not your theory, and I've seen even dumber things on those forums. I just think it's silly to conclude that calling someone a "hot" flower couldn't possibly have any correlation to a passionate affair, but must be because there was a flower on her purse, and she's a mercenary with a flamethrower - from the opposite team.

I'm not saying the Pyro isn't a woman, because that has seemed the most obvious conclusion from the purse in the locker, but the folks behind these sorts of crackpot theories are the ones taking things too seriously, basically proposing that the Scout's mother is the Pyro (or equally stupidly the Announcer) based on an extended "your mom" gag in this video, with nothing but purses (something no other woman on Earth possesses, apparently) and references to flowers to connect them. It's kind of grasping at straws, don't you think? :P

The Pyro has a purse in "his" locker, with a flower on it. Alot of people believe the Pyro is female. Valve could be playing off this as you also see the woman in the photos with a purse.

It's also alot of effort to make a female character just for the spies intro, so it's either a new class, the announcer, or the Pyro.

Guess we will find out in Meet the Pyro.

@Nox
Ridiculous pattern seeking. About as likely as the "theories" on G-Man being time traveling Gordon Freeman, or even Gordon Freeman's father.

This seems to be your thinking:
A The Pyro has a purse.
B The Pyro's purse has a flower on it.
C The Scout's mother also has a purse (inconceivable, I know)
D The Spy called the Scout's mother his "little flower" (more or less)
Therefore A = C. The Spy affectionately referring to the Scout's mother as a flower indicates that he is talking about the Pyro, because the Pyro has a purse with a flower on it.

...I mean seriously? Come on.

@ Robert Maynard

He says "Hot Flower".

There was also this which was taken down.

http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h19/soso188/?action=view¤t=Pyrosashecopy.jpg

But like I said, it's not my theory, it's just on the Valve forums and its been brought up before, so Valve are probably prying on it like they did with the MMO Code.

Dont take everything so serious.

Ah yes, the idea that people believe the Pyro could be the Scouts mum from the video is idiotic. Was more pointing out that the female could be the model they use for Pyro if he/she turns out to be female.

He says "Ma petit chou-fleur," which literally translates to "My little cauliflower," but the English equivalent would be "My little darling"

Also, if you break "chou-fleur" in to its two hyphenated words, it means "cabbage flower", but it's actually cauliflower.

We already know the Pyro is a girl :). On the tf2 blog, while now changed, it said for a short period of time in the description of the spy/sniper day 4 update something along the lines of "The poor pyro. SHE'LL be inconsolable now."

Re: the TF2 blog post

Since when DOESN'T Valve like to screw with its fans' minds? Putting in "she" and then wiping it out soon after could be just a clever rouse to mess with us. You assume too much here.

Maybe Pyro is female... Maybe not. We won't know until "Meet the Pyro" is made... Unless they have the entire video being MMMMPPHHMMMMPPHHMMMMMMPPPHHHHMMMPPPH

If Valve started charging for their updates, I would lose all respect for them. They have always provided support for their games for free, which is why their games are so successful. Don't get me wrong, charging for expansion packs has always been the norm, as it should be, but charging for simple map packs? Ridiculous.

Reason why I said 'update' is because Half Life/TF2/TF/etc. related content (such as developer produces maps) has always been included in an update.
