Just port Morrowind GOTY, throw in some extras, rework the system with Oblivion's enhancements, give it WM+ support, and you've got a "really big Wii game" that I'd totally buy.

Forget the port, remake it! Gamebryo 2 is Wii compatible.

if they could rework the controls... that might actually work. I would think about getting it myself (Bought it first on Xbox, traded it in then bought it later for pc. So not sure if I would buy it a third time).

I thought Oblivion was 0.5.

But yeah, A prettier Morrowind with Oblivion combat, I'd buy it.

I'm not totally excited about all of Oblivion's "enhancements"--but some of the most popular Morrowind mods (Real Signs, for instance) would definitely help. I'm big proponent of bringing Morrowind to Wii. I'd want quite a bit of fresh content though.

GOTY + 2 new Bloodmoon and Mournhold sized expansions, and I'd pay $50 for it.

After MH3 comes out, the bar is going to be raised, so they'll need to do it up right.

I wasn't being sarcastic either. My Wii has more storage space than my brothers 20gb 360 Pro and even before the storage woes were fixed, i was playing DLC for FFCC: My Life As A King and GH:WT. I don't get it.

because the support for Wii games after launch is horrible. GH and Rock band do it cuz its easy money and if they didnt, ppl wouldnt buy the wii version unless they had no choice.

FFCC:my life as a king is wiiware.

Bethesda has had issues with all their fallout 3 DLC whether it be on the PC or the 360 or both.

"My Wii has more storage space than my brothers 20gb 360 Pro"

So, what's it like being in the extreme minority?

DLC for 'big games' usually requires big space, and that's something most Wii owners do NOT have, despite their ability to. Therefore, you're likely not going to see any.

Oh, and, uh, for songs and shit, storing DLC on SD works fine cuz ya just gotta stream the data back to the Wii and leave it in memory to play it, but for Bethesda sized DLC, that's not gonna be an option.

so there's your answer

Sweet, another person jumps on the tmac hate train. It's nice to see so many people make the natural evolution from lurker to troll. Well played, sir. Maybe one day you can aspire to having the next generation call you out before you enter a thread. Only then will you truly have arrived.

Maybe it was a little preemptive, but it's not like he's wrong. It's become so hopelessly predictable. Good news about Nintendo = tmac rant on why the Wii is objectively inferior to every other console. It's almost like he can't bear to let Nintendo fans have any relief.

I agree that tmac can be annoying, but when you've got 14 posts to your name I think it's ridiculous to call out regulars, whatever their opinions. Tmac's just the latest fad to rail against round these parts, and lurkers are trying to jump on the 3-heart express by hating on an easy target. It's not like this guy has ever been in a personal argument with tmac, so why bother? Is he afraid that his post will go unread unless he broaches it with a popular snide remark? I can understand when the Fernando's or Khan's get upset with tmac since they deal with him on a regular basis (especially when he replies to their comments and crowds up their inboxes), but this guy?

Trying to be part of the in-crowd FTL.

I'm not expecting Punch-Out to be bad at all, just more in line with arcadey fun.

I'm looking for a good long game with lots of depth to get lost in for several hours. I haven't sunk hours and hours of time into a game since Twilight Princess and No More Heroes. Maybe I'll finally finish Okami, I'm only about 10 hours in.

I'm hoping Bethesda give us something with some real substance on the Wii. I know she can handle it!

Fallout Thwii?

I actually like the earlier-posted idea of a Morrowind remake. Well, maybe not a wiimake because people tend to hate those these days, but a new Elder Scrolls for wii would be nice. Add motionplus for swordplay and you could count me in.

I would much rather than made the next Elder Scrolls for the consoles that can give some more power. Sorry, Wii is not a bad machine, but it just isn't where you go for a pretty game.

The Elder Scrolls games on consoles aren't particularly pretty. Draw distance in Oblivion is downright puny, XBox's Morrowind was stuck at a slideshow framerate. Don't get me wrong, I love Oblivion (1250/1250, actually) but I would never qualify it as a 'pretty' game, nor would I buy any of Bethesda's games solely for their looks (Fallout 3 comes close, I will admit). What compels me to nab games Bethesda makes has always been the game design and their take on the RPG system, which is wholly portable to Wii. I'm not saying this is universal; many games benefit from the cinematic visual presentation you suggest, but as far as an Elder Scrolls game is concerned I would enjoy the game regardless of how it looks.

"Which means that this upcoming Bethesda product will probably be a traditionally Bethesda-like game, right?"

So you mean with fugly and creepily-inhuman character models with dead eyes that sometimes warp into horrific flesh spiders falling for eternity in mid-air if you kill them on the wrong spot?

I keed, I keed...

...

But not really. Don't you ever change, Bethesda.

Don't get me wrong - Fallout 3 is a game dear to my heart. I've played the Hell out of it, and Broken Steel is REALLY good. But to say that Bethesda's games don't all have wonky looking character models and some super fucked up bugs would be a complete lie!
