Good news to hear the game is good, but honestly the graphics looks like they could have been done on the DS.

So you're buying this like a person who'd fuck a mother?

Hmm.

I have fucked a mother, but I do not believe it will alter the style in which I will purchase this game.

Okay, I think I'll get this instead of Fight Night. The video review really helped.

Gameplay looks like a refined version of Victorious Boxers, which was what I really wanted. Hopefully the motion controls are as enthralling as I imagine.

I wonder how great Motion + is really going to be. Nintendo seems to be riding a lot on this.

I'll probably play it classic style to start, but allowing motion controls and balance board support (As I have one which I never use and would like to put to use) will add more replayability for me, because I might try to beat it again using that after going through with classic controls, and try to master both styles of control. I like that they had the option

I can't find any reviews that are written by people who didn't play the original.

all the reviews i've found have preferred to switch instantly to the "classic" controls that they know and love... but I want to find a review by someone who doesn't already know all the controls, moves and boxers and see what they thought. Particularly of the motion controls.

The best thing about another top-tier critically acclaimed Nintendo-published game is watching how far people have to bury their heads in the sand to pretend the game and its accomplishments don't exist.

Wow this looks identical to the SNES version... and Wii fans are happy? That speaks volumes about Nintendo and there fans. Nintedno's offering of good games is sparse, that there fans are starved for anything thats half decent.

I'm sorry but it's 2009. Recycling SNES games without even online play is unacceptable. I'm sure thy will rerelease this game on the Wii2 with a new control gimmick and call it "new play control". God it's sad to see how Nintendo has really let itself go like this.

Wow. Have you even read reviews or played this game? Cuz the game may have the same formula but has plenty of new challenges. Probably couldnt get past contender mode, I bet you got stuck on Von Kaiser.

@nofriendo- pleez take your meds before posting anything. BTW, I don't believe you're sorry, because you wouldn't have said that about Insight.

What game have these reviewers been playing? It's sure not the same Punch-Out that I bought yesterday. There's no depth, the controls suck. The game just isn't fun. This is the worst Wii game I have ever played. If it wasn't called "Punch-Out", it wouldn't sell at all. I'm about to return it.

The whole point of owning a Wii is motion control, and this game doesn't use it worth a damn. The balance board support is pretty much completely useless, and you would think that a brand new $50 boxing game would use the WiiMotes more effectively than the boxing mode in Wii Sports, which is two years old and came free with the console. In fact, I'd take "as effectively". If I can throw a body punch or head punch in Wii Sports by physically moving my hands either high or low, why the hell can't Punch-Out, which was made by the same company, recognize that? Why do I need to move the control stick up to throw a head punch?

This is a step backward. If it was made by a third party, you could accept the motion controls being implemented poorly, but this game was made by Nintendo. It's marketed as a flagship game. If you offered me Wii Boxing or this, I'd take Wii Boxing. I'd take Fight Night for the original Xbox, which was released 5-6 years ago, over this. I wouldn't pay $10 for this.

I'm ranting, I know... but come on, y'all. The Wii has been out for what, 3 years now? At this stage of the Wii's lifecycle there is no excuse for games whose nature, like boxing or baseball, should easily implement Wii Motion and do not do so. This console is popular, but it looks like Nintendo does not want to put in the work required to move the Wii out of the 'gimmick' category. I used to think this console had a lot of potential... it's a shame.
