Why does anyone give a crap about gamerscores?

Why do you care about games in the first place?

If people find them fun, like the games they play to get the score, then why is that so hard to believe? Not everyone thinks just like you do.

"The best was on NBA 06,07,08 one of those not sure which, my brother played one game and at the end of the game it just sat there and unlocked every achievement even the online ones. I never could find if it was widespread or some magic force."

That was NBA 2K6 and it happened for me. There were only five achievements anyway, and I had gotten four of them in the one game I played, but the fifth one unlocked too for some reason. I went and played it on my brothers 360 and in that game only unlocked 3 of 5 and it gave me the points for all five. I would have just played a second game to get the other one or two anyway, but I guess this saved me 20 minutes of my life...

I still see level 100's with all their achievements. I call BS on this. they either need to ban ALL of them, or none of them. picking a few out to scare people isn't enough. I am a level 63, earned that legit, and its going to take me 4 more months to finish. Screw cheaters!

Can somebody please explain what the exploit was exactly? I don't get it and the article doesn't make it very clear.

I was curious too so I hit the Goggles and found out people were using an 'SPG' technique, an acronym for 'Second Profile Glitching,' and it involves using another person's account who legitimately got the achievos, and recovering their account on to your machine.

"Any time you earn an Achievement you don't actually have to earn, that's against the terms of use,"

Doesn't that mean everyone who got 200/200 for the doritos arcade game have to be reset?

Since we really didn't have to "earn" any of those cheevies lol.

Good thing the place I get game saves from an invite only source with a program that signs your saves to your OWN personal profile and is done on the site,so no reverse engineering by MS can be done by downloading a program.

Also,my gamerscore is still intact. I get the LULZ from having the "collect all intel" achievement without even having "collect 10 intel" in Gears of War 2.

Until the gamer points are being used as currency for tangible items,us achievement glitchers aren't hurting anyone. It's not like i'm going into the game with hacks and cheating, just playing with game saves to open up achievements for the hell of it.
