Deadpool returns for Ultimate Alliance 2

The "Merc with a Mouth," otherwise known as Deadpool, has received his official in-game reveal for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (and no, it's not the movie version of Deadpool). The official MUA 2 website has posted a developer diary in which the devs discuss what went into adding Deadpool into the game, including some details on his powers and fusion moves.

Deadpool will be able to utilize swords, grenades, teleportation and, if the above image is any indication, he also has pistols that fire bullets nearly as big as his head. That's intimidating no matter how you slice it. Check out some new images in the gallery below.

Deadpool I quite possibly one of the coolest superheroes ever. Definitely my favorite. For that reason alone I refuse to see the new Wolverine movie. I heard they butchered his character in it... I mean, how are Deadpool (Wade Wilson) and Weapon XI the same person?

well, he sort of is a superhero, now that hes "good" and hangs out with cable.

WOLVERINE ORIGINS SPOILER: I heard that the thing that was supposedly Deadpool (the one that died) was actually a clone. It would make absolutely no sense for them to do that otherwise (it still doesn't make much sense either way, but still).

You should see the first twenty minutes of the Wolverine movie for some good semi-authentic Deadpool action (the character, if not the costume). You should be fine if you leave before he gets ruined. Also, you can't tell me that Deadpool's comic book origin makes MORE sense than anything in the movie.

Deadpool can't die. When his body is completely destroyed he comes back to life but slightly more insane. His clones did die, but they were weak and each represented one part of his personality.

in the very last issue of deadpool, or maybe Thunderbolts, since they were both about the same thing, deadpool got decapitated, but then they sewed his head on and he was fine

Deadpool can die. The way it works is that if he is decapitated, he can no longer move or speak (he is virtually dead), but his head can reattach itself as long it is held up against his neck. If, however, his brain starts to rot before his head is brought back to his body (I think they said it takes 10 to 15 minutes for that to happen, I forget) he could die.

Way to fuck up the costume!

He's been wearing this costume for years, dude. Ever since Cable & Deadpool.

He doesn't have black boots, and it doesn't look nearly as leathery. He also doesn't have rivets on his shirt, and everything isn't nearly as loose

wow man, QQ. It's one thing when they make Deadpool Weapon XI and nothing like he actually is, but when they add some rivets and make him leathery, is that really worth flipping a shit?

I wasn't "filipping a shit", all I said was they fucked it up. It's a video game, they shouldn't need to change anything. Besides, he looked fine in the first game

They change costumes for movies, because sometimes tights just don't look as good on a real person. There's absolutely no need to change it for a video game

Finally Deadpool is getting some face time in movies and games. He's always been one of the more underground heroes.

Awesome, his commentaries were the best parts of the first games.

it's his teleportation device, if i'm not mistaken.

Deadpool's teleportation device is on his belt and is black with read trim and two white eyes.

semi-off topic...I'd rather see Sunspot in MUA 2 personally. But the problem with that is everyone I've ever asked has never heard of him...*sigh*...but he's one of my favorite..so I'll just keep hope alive and pray for a cameo in MUA 9

awesome! i loved using Deadpool in the first one. and his one liners make the game even better haha.

Deadpool or Ironman were always my main character in Ultimate Alliance because they both unlocked hilarious extra dialogue. I loved the banter between Deadpool and the guy in the mirror and with the trapped SHIELD soldiers.

I hope I can press the back button to make Deadpool say "chimichanga" anytime I want.

first they butcher deadpool in wolverine (bad) then i hear their making his own movie and from what i hear they might just stick to the comic version of him(good) then i hear he's getting his own cartoon which if it's made for CW/WB or ABC then (bad) but if it's made for adult swim or late night cartoon network (possibly good) and now i find out he's making a return in MUA 2 (awsome) let the deadpools roll ........................................ btw for those who need a hint thats a mock of let the good times roll for everyone who got it here's a cookie
