Fallout 3 DLC coming to PS3 beginning late June, two new multiplat packs announced

Bethesda has announced that those Fallout 3 DLC packs that Xbox 360 owners have been enjoying for the last few months will be heading to the PS3 starting with Operation: Anchorage in late June. The other two DLC packs, The Pitt and Broken Steel will be released four to six weeks apart. A patch will be released for the game in order to make these DLC packs work with the PS3 version of the game. All release dates are yet to be nailed down.

In addition, two new DLC packs have been announced and will be heading to both platforms. Point Lookout, as revealed by retailers earlier this month, will feature a massive swampland area to explore and in Mothership Zeta you'll suffer through an alien abduction. These packs will be available on Xbox 360 and PC starting late June and on PS3 once the first three have been released.

If you don't have an internet connection (huh?) these packs can still be obtained through two new disc-based packages for Xbox 360 and PC. The first -- containing Anchorage and The Pitt -- will be available in June in Europe and May 26 in the US, with the second containing the rest of the DLC in August worldwide. A GOTY version of Fallout 3 will be available in October for PS3, 360 and PC, which will include all five add-on packs.

Oblivion with guns is the most accurate and fair description for this game.

Bethesda basically used the same engine and animations. Only gave it a post apocalyptic skin job.

I'm not complaining, I had fun. But they didn't exactly try that hard to differentiate a completely different series from their Elder Scrolls series.

Hell yeah! I debated for months whether to buy Fallout 3 for 360 or PS3 and finally decided on PS3 because, although the 360 had the "exclusive" DLC, I enjoy using my PS3 a lot more AND I predicted that the DLC would come out for PS3 eventually anyways, just like their other game's DLC (Shivering Isles) did. Looks like I made the right decision!

Wait wait wait wait, Thats it? (I finally reached the end of fallout 3, and I began this rant) THATS IT? "blah blah blah, go do this you gotta save us and Boom finito?" I mean COME ON! I was actually expecting something more. I worked so hard for my wastelander to become a near godlike murderer and this is what I get? Nothin more than 20lvl, Fawkes yelling "I'm a pussy I wont help ya" and the blondy fuckin everything?

Well this means I can continue my vacation (exploration) through the wasteland.

That DLC better come fast.

Now seriously, the fallout screenwriters better step up for the next games, it was kinda lame the story for some part.

Best news I've heard all day. I knew there was a reason I kept my Fallout 3 install on my PS3... with a little hope, that is. I'm glad Microsoft only ruined one of my favorite games of '08 for a little while, though, instead of indefinitely.

The alien craft in the original series was a joke. It was an Easter egg. I thought you got that in F3.

Fallout is supposed to exist in a world grounded in reality. Stop turning it into generic SF shooter.

Awesome. can fallout3 be ran on multiple monitors? Its tempting but my trophy collection needs to keep growing ,so cant pass on a game like this to play on the ps3.

WTF?! I sold my copy of Fallout 3 when it seemed pretty clear that PS3 was getting the shaft on DLC. Now suddenly it appears? Thanks a lot, dicks.

When will it come out Because its June 24th and still no DLC 4 PS3. im thinking the very last day :(
