Insomniac tweet hints at upcoming Ratchet & Clank LBP pack
A tweet sent from the official Insomniac Games twitter account seems to indicate that Media Molecule is currently working on a large Ratchet & Clank pack for LittleBigPlanet. The tweet itself is quite hard to decipher, but it does say that "R&C content" is done and that it is "coming soon hopefully." There's also a mention of more levels, which are coming, and talk of a "big pack, bigger than MGS even," which is "up next for Mm."
Whether this big pack is separate from the Ratchet & Clank content is hard to tell. Either way, it's going to have to be pretty awesome if it intends to be bigger than the Metal Gear Solid pack that was released in December. We're looking forward to hearing clarification on whether this tweet is talking about one piece of DLC or not, not to mention the details of the pack itself. Hopefully we'll hear more soon.
[Thanks, Daniel!]

Sounds pretty cool, but what I would really want to hear is a confirmation of multiplayer in Crack in time.
Carlos @ May 19th 2009 4:27PM
Not all games need multiplayer.
------------------
But it's about time, it's been awhile since the last level pack. I'm glad they are working on a bigger and better one. Can't wait to play these when they come out!
Neptune @ May 19th 2009 4:34PM
True, true but the multiplayer was once in R&C and I think it suites it quite well.
Anyhow it would be nice if they would add somekinda new gameplay element to LBP with this pack, like they did with MGS and the paintinator.
Ashitaka @ May 19th 2009 4:53PM
It's a pity that I can't prove it but.. I'm SURE that A Crack In Time WILL have multiplayer.

uhm.. Hello... Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal and Deadlocked had online when it didn't need to be added to the series and I play the shit out of those games and I still get online once in awhile. I own all the R&C games on the PS2 but still haven't tried R&C:ToD yet other than the demo which was great.

Ratchet & Clank online multiplayer sucks hard, as much of a fan as I am of the Ratchet games. Now, if they adapted the awesome R2 co-op for Ratchet & Clank, I would be all over that.
Coops @ May 20th 2009 12:13PM
Ratchet and Clank is the only game I've ever properly played multiplayer on. I loved it in R&C3. I think it should be made seperate to A Crack in Time though, as a download on PSN maybe so you don't need to pop in the disk when you want to play. Insomniac should really consider doing it again, they put it in the Resistance games after all.

I think LBP is a great game for what it offers and the constant evolution from packs and user created content, but damn it gets expensive if you were to get everything for it.
Hyams @ May 19th 2009 4:46PM
I'd say the only 'must-buy' thing so far has been the MGS4 level pack. (And the MGS4 costume pack, because dressing up as Old Snake is cool.)
I've ignored everything else (that isn't free) so far.

yea you dont need all that stuff....hell already this game and all the addons cost damn near $200
Roto13 @ May 19th 2009 6:12PM
Well, most of that stuff isn't going to affect the gameplay in any way. You can decide what you'll enjoy and what you won't without feeling like you're missing out on anything.
Hyams @ May 19th 2009 4:43PM
Bigger than the MGS4 pack?
Count me in. =)
tkAshur @ May 19th 2009 4:46PM
Guns are already in LBP...so what could this add? Hovering ala R&C or Super Mario World(cape)? That would be kinda cool, for controlled jumping. Otherwise, MGS level pack was SUPERB. If its the same, then I'd have the ps3 on for once the update hits just to download it.
Coops @ May 20th 2009 12:14PM
Why a grappling hook of course - it's signature to every R&C game!
butaneko @ May 19th 2009 4:49PM
Can someone kidnap me and lock me in a room with nothing but a TV and LBP? I kind of feel like it's the only way I'm going back to it at this point.
That or unemployment.
Courtney @ May 19th 2009 4:52PM
I haven't bought anything since the MGS pack, as none of it seems really worth it. An R&C adventure in LBP though, now that's exciting.

"Upcoming Playstation exclusive to feature LittleBigPlanet tie in DLC, film at 11"
Seriously, the LBP DLC has been rather lackluster since the Metal Gear pack, and it seems like it's getting more expensive to boot. I'm hoping for something substantial.
tobz1000 @ May 19th 2009 5:37PM
Monster pack looks like just the thing for you then.
Roto13 @ May 19th 2009 6:10PM
They just released new level creation tools a few weeks ago, and for free.
Chris D.(PSN: Aggie_CEO | XBL:The Aggie CEO | Steam: Aggie_CEO @ May 19th 2009 5:48PM
something tells me that LBP will end up being re-released with all the DLC included for around $60 a few years down the road
Windmill @ May 19th 2009 6:18PM
HELL YEAH.
Patrick @ May 20th 2009 6:55AM
If it's a level pack i'll totally buy it.
