Shocker: New Dragon Ball games headed to Wii, 360, PS3

Attention Dragon Ball fans, we have some news that will probably make all kinds of sense to you. Daizex.com noticed reports of new games set in the Dragon Ball universe for the Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3. First up, French site Wiiz.fr has magazine scans showing off a new Wii game based on the original Dragon Ball series, apparently entitled Dragon Ball World: Big Adventure, a 2D/3D affair in which Son Goku (who?) faces the Red Ribbon Army (whatever that is).

Meanwhile, Xbox Evolved reports that a new Dragon Ball Z game is on the way for Xbox 360 and PS3 entitled Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast. Daizex.com suspects that the game is more closely related to something called Sparking! than Burst Limit. Sparking!, evidently, is the Japanese name for the Budokai Tenkaichi series. Or something.

We don't really understand anything else, but we're sure it's all very exciting.

That latter one definitely sounds like DBZ, it started getting good after some horrid games, then the DB: Evolution movie and movie-based game came and made them bad again...

In my opinion, the Budokai games by Dimps are much better than the Budokai Tenkaichi/Sparking! games.

Budokai 3 on Ps2 is a favourite of mine, but so is Tenkaichi 2.

The budokai series seem too slow to be DBZ games, the Tenkaichi's where insane fast.

Don't vote me down, its just an opinion, I'm not a fan of the Tenkaichi games.

This would be exciting and all...but I'm still in awe about that previous post.

Origins is very good... you can get the game for just $15 at Sams Club or $20 at Gamestop.

The DBZ is only about grunting, twitching and glowing, but IMHO aren't the best moments in life filled with grunting and twitching? I love Dragonball, and can't wait

They should have stopped at Budokai 3. That was the pinnacle of DBZ fighting games. I still want to see someone make a competent DBZ rpg, an open world one would make more sense seeing as they go pretty much everywhere all the time in the show (that was a hint Bioware/Bethesda...get working on it)

Not a bad idea, all things considered, but wait until that MMORPG comes out. Whenever it does.

Have you played the Shin Budokai games on the PSP? Those are a bit more fast paced than the Budokai games on the PS2 which I liked. I haven't gotten a chance to play Budokai: Burst Limit for the PS3/360 yet.

Noooooooooooo! BioWare and Bethesda can't make RPGs for shit. Crap stories, crap characters, crap art and crap game design. Bethesda can keep their ugly dead eyed looking characters and unpolished bug filled games to themselves. They can't even get a simple piece of DLC right.

A new game based on the original series? Sign me up. The DBZ fighting games are fun and all, but I've been really wanted a game based on Dragon Ball. Hope it turns out fun.

Hopefully, it'll be like Sagas... but, you know... good.

It's Dragon Ball Kai: Saiyan Invasion. There is no Z.

In order to create the true Dragon Ball experience, the games will feature a mandatory 44-minute install. Even on the Wii.

Well... I like Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z series...

We had good DBZ fighting games before, and I'm sure that these new fighting games will be good too.

But the one I'm looking the most is the Wii one, because is not a fighting game... it is like an adventures game.

If you guys want a good Dragon Ball game, I highly recommend you guys the DS game, Dragon Ball Origins. It is very good... it's an RPG. The Z version is coming too...

I have played a lot of Dragon Ball games, and most are fighting games. All the DB RPG games are usually Japan only...

I have played the PS2 games, the 360 game, even the SNES and all are fighting games.

So, I recently bought Dragon Ball Origins at Sam's Club (only $15) and wow... it is a very good game.

So, I want a similar game but on a console... if the HD game is also an adventure or RPG game, I will check it out as soon as I can. But not another fighter... well, not initially, but will try it eventually.

The last Dragonball game on the Wii was easily the best of the series.

The 360 was a joke in comparison, having less characters and interrupting battles with constant cutscenes.

I would love to see a Tenkaichi 4, especially on Wii (with some even more refined controls that are hopefully more pick-up-and-play). Although, for the life of me I have no idea how they're going to expand on the already bajilion characters and same ol' storyline...again...
