So are they saying that it's just a little something to break the monotony of all that hard-core racing that has gotten to be a little bit outta control? It's cool to go, but what about a game that's Mario meets Turismo?

Give me a soft subtle drift and if it ain't broke then don't try to fix it, and think of the drivers of the past adjust the race and let the turbo blast.

I had an N64 that I hooked up to a projector back when I was in college. Playing Mario Kart with a bunch of friends when you could actually see everything instead of trying to make it out with four people sharing a 19" screen was great. So if Blur can do that, I'm all for it. And no, I"m not gonna get a Wii and get Mario Kart either. I already sold one Wii.

I'm glad they're going a different direction. Something good always wears out in the long run (Sonic).

"Mario Kart meets Forza". Never played Forza, but I do like Mario Kart.

I hate silly racers, and hopefully it wont feel too "arcadey" because that's a real turn off for me in racers.

If they can mix the elements properly, and the gameplay is solid (and it feels like you're not driving a piece of cardboard) then I'm all for it.

To be honest, I'm pretty gutted with its description. The PGR series was yes, both realistic and arcade-y but it never went as far as having "offensive and defensive powerups". Sure, that could add another layer to it but I'm just hoping it doesn't detract from the actual driving/racing. Something that the PGR series did just great.
If I was Bizzare, I'd realise that they had a great formula to make great games and keep it the same. I don't know... Fingers crossed I guess.
