Help choose The King of Fighters XII box art

Ignition Entertainment is asking for the community to decide The King of Fighters XII's box art for North America. Currently there are polls open on the company forums to decide between the four different covers -- two for each system -- of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. In both cases, "Option 1" is the Japanese box art and "Option 2" is the originally-intended North American box art.

The fans will decide which graphic the McCountry will be forced to gaze its eyes upon. We know it's supposed to be a battle and all, but wouldn't this be the perfect time to make the argument for reversible covers? Anyway, the PS3 choices can be found after the break.

Not bad at all.

I don't like any of them.

360: i initially liked option 2 but then look at kyo, roberto and ralf. they look like they were photoshopped in, no good.

ps3: definitely better box art, especially option 1, colors really stand out and kyo and iori are just sick.

I don't like either of the 360 ones, but for PS3, i like Option 2.

With you 100% on this. All of the 360 options look like ass. Option 2 for the PS3 is acceptable.

This seems to be the bandwagon thats going my way.... PS3 option #2 for me. I hate Ash and everything gay about shim.

I think after this installment however, he'll snag a few more fans purely based on the aesthetics of his new sprites.

I actually hate most of the new characters since KOF99, they were just dumb concepts, and not nearly good enough to become major characters (that's just my stupid opinion though) :P

You're not alone. I'm a huge fan. I play a pretty killer Ash. He was my go-to character in 03, which is still in my cab right now.

Option 1 for Xbox 360 looks really good, the second option looks kind of plain/average.

I don't like the PS3 ones very much.

Looks as though the japanese box art decided it was too good to bother including the game's title.

At least Iori's got that antagonist turned Anti-hero thing going for him, that's why he's a fan favorite.

From what I've heard from my buddy in Japan, BlazBlue is like a slow-motion version of Guilty Gears. For a game so reliant on speed (GG) to be at a slower speed (BB)...thanks but no thanks.

I'd go with the Japanese artwork for both, the localized one's are just thrown together with stock illustrations I've seen everywhere else.

360-1 doesn't even show what the game is. I would think it's a chick game based on some girly anime. Colors are too bright.

I don't like the way his head is tilted downwards in 360-2. He looks like a hunchback, though it has better colors.

PS3-1 shows clearly what the game is but the light blue and the girl in the back seems out of place
PS3-2 easily the best of the 4. Looks awesome.

Option 2 for both systems that chic in option 1 just looks weird. I rather have someone I recognize from all the series on the cover.

Xbox Option 1 has people smiling, a blue sky...why not just say 2 won already?

Cool box art. I like option 2 for 360 and option 1 for PS3. Still though why is it that all these characters look like they're advertising for Japanese super sculpting hair gel?

Cover could be a cross-dressing hermaphodite for all I care, as long as the game itself is good, im happy.

That green on the xbox 360 box ruins everything and its the same with every single box art for the 360.

On the other hand, that black finish on the PS3 box look elegant and combines very well with everything, just like every single box art game out there for the PS3

I agree. I always cringe when I see boxart for the 360.

In both cases before knowing where they came from, I thought the Japanese ones looked nicer. The blue/green looks more refreshing than the typical red/orange on the North American covers.

And, it's really interesting and strange that the Japanese 360 cover doesn't even have a logo on it...?

It looks nice, though, if it actually stays like that.
