Plants vs. Zombies' sales certainly aren't shambling, as PopCap tells Joystiq that it has been the fastest-selling game in the company's electronic narcotic pharmacy.
PopCap's Garth Chouteau believes this is just the tip of the iceberg for the the flora vs. undead simulator, telling Joystiq, "It's as strategic as any game launched this year ... in it's own humble cutesy sort of way." He believes that players will continue to find incredible depth in the title, especially after they are done with the adventure's story and move into the survival mode. It appears that PopCap is happy with the sales of its latest piece of interactive crack, but it knows it'll only get better as the junkie word-of-mouth increases.

That's awesome. I just wish they stuck to their guns and called it "Lawn of the Dead." That would have made it even more awesome.

Loving it so far. Although it can be hard to get cash for all the plants in the zen garden.

People who consider themselves TD fans will probably *like* the game, but ultimately grow bored rather quickly. It was not worth the money for me.

For $10, I'd say it's worth it. The core game is fun, and all the extra minigames they throw in add a lot to the value.

Well I'm a Tower Defense fan, and I'm still playing it well after buying it the day it launched.
It's simple true, but it's fun and offers a lot of depth for it's pick up and play setting.
The only thing it's missing is some sort of two-player Flowers vs Zombies mode.
Or Zombotony (Zombies with plants for heads) vs Zombiseeds (plants with zombie heads).
Oh well, just a fun game for TD fans and those who haven't played any before.
