Don't feel left out, Wii and DS fans. While Sega satisfied 360, PS3 and PC fans' curiosities with details and screenshots of Aliens Vs Predator, the company has also announced a new title to be released late this year for both the DS and Wii: Jambo! Safari. The game is actually a remake of an ancient Sega arcade title, with "modern graphics and deeper gameplay, suited to today's Nintendo consumers."
These new features include customizable characters and vehicles which you'll use to run your safari park and aid distressed animals. The DS version has been completely reworked with the stylus in mind and the Wii version will feature lasso gameplay which makes full use of the Wii Remote. There are also two-player co-op elements and four-player party games. Expect to hear more about this game soon.

An ice cream place has this arcade by my home, it is insane. You drive around in a jeep and lasso elephants and other safari animals. I love it.

Oh good, with any luck it'll be as accurate as the Wii version of Samba De Amigo!

Jambo Safari was a quirky game that made nice use of old Crazi Taxi cabinets, so I was excited by the headline, but the new art style looks pretty horrible, and I'm sure when the developer is announced it's going to be someone really unimpressive.

It's ancient when you can't even remember what you ate for breakfast yesterday.

For some reason I never could find the English version of the cabinets and always had to play in Japanese. Nevertheless it's an awesome game.

Oh, HELL yes! This and the Star Wars Trilogy arcade were the only awesome Naomi titles the Dreamcast missed out entirely on.

Damn,
Last time I played this game, it was at a Chuck E.Cheese. I love this game... I caught that raptor lol.
Can't wait for PETA to go all insane-***** on this though... Not like they cared about the arcade cabinet.

Sega, I have three words for you: JET SET RADIO!!!!!
Sega is now being run by a bunch of f-ing morons. They could've released this on the DC - they didn't. Same with Planet Harriers, LA Machine Guns, Brave Fire Fighters, Star Wars Trilogy Arcade, and Airline Pilots... Yet for some odd reason, they never even considering porting THEIR OWN GAMES!!!
Our last remaining local arcade has 2 Jambo Safari machines, BTW... I played the game once, and absolutely hated it.
