The Team Fortress 2 vignettes are clever, but YouTube videographer AyesDyef did something that takes serious geeky dedication when he recreated the opening to Super Smash Bros. with the TF2 crew. The video above is an incredible recreation of the original Smash Bros. opening. How do we know it's so accurate? Well, there's a comparison video after the break if you don't believe us.

Oh that reaks of awesomnisity.
The "secret" characters that pop up, replacing luigi ness jigglypuff and captain falcon... I can pick out 2 being spies, the one on the left possibly being a scout... no idea what's on the right. It's imitating Jiggly, obviously.

Valve should have done more to protect their reputation with the console versions but to be honest, as you said, the PS3 version was doomed from day one.
I myself own TOB on 360 and it really is nothing compared to the PC version of TF2, right now TF2 without the unlockables and thousands of custom maps would be impossible to imagine.
Bascially, for Valve games, just buy it on steam. If your computer isn't up to scratch then you should look up upgrade it cheaply (I built my current computer for TF2 for a TOTAL of AU$400 over a year ago and cun run everything on max).
For everyone's information Team Fortress 2 is free to play right now on steam as there is a free weekend. Try it out.

Yes, the PS3 version wasn't even published by Valve. It's the most glitchy, worst ported and the worst version by far.
Do yourself a favour and pick up TF2 on steam again when they drop the price to $10 during their sales or at least try it on a free weekend It is the best multiplayer game of all time in my opinion.

@ Oscar
While I don't think the PS3 version of The Orange Box is even as bad as people make it out to be, I don't understand why everyone thinks it's a legitimate excuse to not support the PS3 version (like Valve does for Xbox 360 and PC) just because it was EA that published it instead.
The whole point of the matter is that it's Valve's property. They chose to abandon the whole concept of PS3 support from day one. While I'm happy that the PS3 version was even made, it's still Valve's responsibility to have continued support for things such as TF2.
I guess investing in PS3 development/training would be too large of a leap.

I don't see how Valve can update the PS3 version when they have no PS3 devs.

That's awesome. I actually have the Smash Bros. Intro as the screensaver for my PC so I'm very familiar with it and they got it right down to the T. I love how they the Soldier to blast the Heavy like it was Samus blasting DK. Brilliant! Sentry Down!!

I converted this into a BIK file to use in the Source engine intro videos. :D
This RAD Video Tools will do it: http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm
But first you want to grab the HQ version (video.mp4) from YouTube, then you'll need a DirectShow codec for it so RAD Video Tools can transcode it (make sure to preview while encoding so you're sure it's not all black).
I ended up having to transcode to Xvid in another program first (mplayer) since I didn't have a DirectShow codec for the YouTube HQ format.
Once you have the BIK, stick it in Team Fortress 2\tf\media, and then copy the TXT file from Team Fortress 2\valve\media to the tf\media folder, edit it in notepad, and add an entry for the new media\.bik file.
Then launch TF2 and there's your new intro after the Valve one.
