If you were one of those folks that rushed out and scooped up Terminator: Salvation for PC this week, you've probably been disappointed with the game -- mostly because you haven't been able to play it. There was a replication issue when manufacturing the PC version of the game, which doesn't allow users to install the game at all, Evolved Games notes on the official forums.
Right now, Evolved Games is currently recalling all copies of the game in North America, with the plan being that each copy will be replaced "in a few days." Could this actually be some plot by Skynet to keep humans from playing a game that trains us to kill robots? We doubt it, but it's fun to imagine, which is all you can really do at this point ...

Better waiting a few days than a few years for a game that never came. *Cough* Duke Nukem *Cough*

A few years? That would put us playing DNF back in 2000.

A 'few' by definition is 3-5 so no, I don't think 2009 minus 3 to 5 yeras is 2000.

@Wes
Actually, what he said was waiting a few years, which would mean since the last game was made. Considering Duke 3D was made in 1996, then 2000 makes perfect sense for neuromancer's correction. A for effort, but try to pay attention more in class.

Based on the reviews, this is probably a good thing.

You're right - the pirates did, and their copies play just fine :-)
GFWL - Sorry to be stating fact, but you do not hear the pirates crying about this issue.

It always gets me why someone who buys a game and posts the torrent is called a pirate. I agree that it's wrong, but we need a better name to satisfy the nitpickers out there.

How the hell could this have gotten beyond testing? Once they started pumping out copies nobody thought they should pop in a disc or two to make sure it works?

Maybe someone was trying to save a lot of people from playing a bad game.

With those 4 hours of the game time you saved you could rewatch the first two movies over again.

And with the $60, you could buy about 10% of all the re-releases of T2 from over the years.

LoL, you can finish that game in a good 4 hour session ... probably took most people longer to complain about it not running than they'll ever play. What a pathetic joke ... surely Skynet won't be programmed by Evolved Games.

How exactly does a problem like this make it out to the public? Once the game leaves the studio the only thing that happens to it is duplicating the discs and packaging correct?
Did they honestly not attempt to install one of the final copies of the game on any computer and just hope for the best?

Here's a tip. The first disk off the line? Drop it in your PC and see if it installs.
