Well with the reviews for inFamous already out, Prototype has a strong contender to deal with. I heard about Prototype before inFamous and I like the concept for Prototype a little more so I'm hoping this game is atleast an 8.5-9.0 caliber game.

I have been waiting for this game for a long time, but with inFamous coming out in a week I might have to get this in late June or early July

This guy really sounds like he "gets it." He understands the consumer's perception of DLC. He uderstands that multiplayer should only b implemented if it makes sense to do so. He understands that a new IP shouldn't be designed with a trilogy in mind, but rather just keep the idea somewhat open.

Good man. Looking forward to the game.

Couldn't agree more. He talks with insight and enthusiasm that is so rare to see in recent times of obsessed, press-hungry developers, staying true to their "grand trilogy vision" and damn the critics and players.

Given Radical's insanely diverse game credits, it seems like they've grown out of the typical ego and fear of a development house that's been gobbled up ten times, and simply aren't ashamed to pull out the crap and put in the awesome, based on the feedback they get.

I declare Zmak the Anti-Dyack.

Oh, and if these guys offer multiplayer as DLC, I'm in.

I don't really see why there is competition between the two games.

I think because there both open world, sandbox, super hero games, being released around the same time. I dig Infamous' good and evil choices, and the RPG element of the game. I don't think Prototype is bad in anyway though.

Can't wait for this game! And I really like how the story is kind of optional, go around slaughter people and plow through the game, or take your time with the web of intrigue. Sounds cool. And couldn't be more glad they ditched mediocre multiplayer.

What club in Vegas was the party at btw?

This was at the Rok bar inside of New York, New York. Perfect size for the group, which wasn't big... and zombie go-go girls? Bizarre and kind of cool.

hahaha. That was me, actually. Goes to show the game was actually pretty fun, as I wound up at that station for a good 45 minutes without getting *too* distracted.

Thanks, Joystiq, for posting pictures of me ignoring the dancers and playing the game. My wife liked that. :D

Had no idea there were zombies involved in this game, it just got +2 awesome points. Hopefully this game is as fun as Crackdown.

Giving players a lot of power in the beginning and then taking it away works as a great hook. Designers use that trick aaallllll the time. Most recent examples I can think of are Assassin's Creed and Force Unleashed.

I have no faith in this game, they haven't shown enough of it yet. Just trailers, plenty of crappy games have awesome trailers.

Well I know if I was at an event like that (oogles all the ladies), I would definitely say that the game is amazing and deserves three 9 out of 10s.

oh shit, I love Barry Pepper. He was my favorite in SPR, and i always wanted him to be captain america. Either way, getting really excited about this game, it sounds like a deep interesting experience while at the same being mindless action destruction, which sounds great

The first Prototype review is in, Playstation magazine gave it a 9 out of 10, just as i suspected......its boasting much more than inFamous, better gameplay is all i care about

im utterly disapointed by the inFamous demo, inFamous can be fun for about 2 minutues, but it gets old fast after you keep shocking stuff and running to cars and poles draining electricity out of them, do yourselves a favor kiddos, rent inFamous

The game's graphics look a little bit sketchy to me, but everything else looks super freaking awesome. I have never had the urge to elbow drop a tank and use a human corpse as a surfboard until now. I'm excited for the devastation attacks too; I want to summon those asphalt spikies from Hell.

It's gonna be my new baby, I know this for a fact. Getting an overpowered protagonist, hell, the most powerful protagonist in existence as far as I know, and taking a shit on Manhattan is a personal pleasure of mine. Fuckin' A.

The graphics seem fine to me. Yeah, some textures are kinda low rez, but I think it's something that you can simply write off compared to the whole experience. I guarantee you won't be standing in one place to notice the textures for long.

I'm pretty sure they'll think of something radical for multiplayer, I'm sure of it.

This has been the game I have been waiting for for 2 years now! This is awesome that it is finally coming out. And as far as the guy who keeps comparing this game to Crackdown goes... this game will probably kick Crackdown's ass because of its badass gameplay, from what I hear good voice acting, and solid story. Crackdown lacked a lot of that stuff. Though I still enjoyed it.

I've always seen Prototype as more of a Hulk inspired game. Fair comparison since Radical did the excellent Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Wall running, elbow dropping, huge leaps. Alex Mercer is a beast.

The Crackdown comparison is much more appropriate for inFamous. Give the Agent some electric guns and you're good to go. And right there is why these titles can coexist. Get both. If you miss playing one, you're missing out.
