Red Faction is okay but ... Prototype sounds like a much more enjoyable game. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the first Red Faction on the ps2 but this one just doesn't feel right. I might rent it though...

I know that... and I know alot of people have been waiting quite some time for this game to come out it's just that I am not that big a fan of this series. But the ostridge hammer does seem pretty badass.

When *does* PSN usually update (time wise) on Thursday? It's 10:41AM here and there's still no sign of the Red Faction or Infamous demos.

I don't believe there is a set specific time, here (eastern standard time) it's usually late afternoon, early evening.

It has always been later in the day. It's usually updated by the time I get home at 4:30pm CST.

Their update timing is awful. I wish they'd update demos ASAP, and leave everything else for a scheduled day or a scheduled time. Sometimes a demo comes out a day after an update, and we have to wait an entire week for it to be downloaded. I hope they reconsider their system and how they do things there.

Okay the single player demo was incredible solely based on the fact that everything is destructible! And yeah I am a HUGE fan of the original 2 games. I wish people would stop crying that "it just isn't the same" as the first 2 games! Who cares if they changed it to third person view? You can blow more sh** up now than ever, come on!!!!!!!

really don't get all the love for this game. The SP demo did nothing at all for me. Everything from the shooting, driving, destruction felt mediocre at best. What am I missing here...humm. Oh ya, the majority of the public are idiots...I always forget that. I remember on another site how everyone was completely bashing Dead Space when media was coming out for it. I love being the only smart person!!! YAAA ME!!!!

We're so used to being crapped on in the games department that it's not even noteworthy any more.
Getting games ages after they appear on the console counterparts - getting no actual PC version but rather just a straight-up console port better played on a controller than with your KB and mouse - having extreme anti piracy software thumped onto our software - or just getting games that plain don't work (recent Terminator game anyone) - are all things we've come to accept as side effects of being PC gamers.

Argh! the PSN update is taking the piss today... really want to try out Infamous... Why can't Sony update during the middle of the night, so all the new shit is available on Thursday in the MORNING and can download through the day...

It's just a gigantic mix of fun stuff really. You've got proper destructible environments, cool weapons and JETPACKS. Being able to break anything in your path is really incredible, and it makes the multiplayer feel really fresh.
And it's ten times better with friends too!

I agree. This game is just fun at it's simpliest level. The backpack upgrades add a little bit of flavor and the dectructive environments really make the game more fun than most online shooter types.
I thought this game was gonna suck but I'm going to pre-order it soon.

Demo impressions:
Fun game, bad graphics, bad controls. Weapon changing should be done with the D-pad, not by holding RB and pressing a face button. Really bizarre design choice there. Great physics system. I had a whole building crumble from underneath my feet. Sweet.
Might pick this up for $30 some day.

i got the demo yesterday.i´ve been trying to get in a game for quite some time now. why is everybody saying its not up in PSN?it could be because im in europe and you all are in the US.
