It's sounding like tap-shooter Resident Evil: Degeneration is just the tip of the iPhone-game iceberg for Capcom. Reuters reports that the company's mobile division intends to release "more than 10" titles on the portable platform by the end of March 2010. The announcement was made by Capcom chief financial officer, Kazuhiko Abe, at the news organization's Global Technology Summit in Tokyo.
Capcom has already released Mega Man 2 for iPhone/iPod touch in addition to last week's RE title. While more of the company's classics would be a welcome addition to the App Store lineup, we can only hope they'll benefit from feedback on the absurdly difficult-to-control MM2. What games would you like to see? Our absolute must-have is Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo.

If you thought Megaman had bad controls, just wait for Sreet Fighter!

I'd really love to see a good cost comparison done between developing and selling games for the iPhone versus on more traditional platforms like the DS. Seems to me that it might be cheaper to develop for the iPhone, but I wonder how the sales / returns stack up against game-oriented devices.

Depending on what they are I might have more than 4.99 per title...

None unless they can prove that MegaMan 2 was just a fluke

I found RE: Degeneration surprising enjoyable. I know it's become routine for most devs to just slap a bunch of crap together and throw it on the App Store, but I REALLY hope that Capcom takes the time to deliver quality products.
Also, please don't shoehorn old-school games onto a device with no buttons. It just causes more frustration. The Breath of Fire series would be right at home on the iPhone since it's just a RPG. Platformers however are another story entirely (ie: Mega Man 2)

thats nice news ! i would love to see mega man 9 and 3 , street fighter 2 i think will be hard to make the controls work on iphone , super puzzel fighter is a must in my opinion. the original bionic comando would be nice too and the rest i hope capcom create new and inovative games for iphone , using all the features.

The touch controls make these games completely unplayable, don't buy them.

I think some Ghouls N Ghosts (aka Ghosts N Goblins) would do well on the iPhone, given the simple controls.......
Ugh, nevermind that game was ridiculously hard with a gamepad.
(btw can anyone tell me how the hell I change my avatar on here?!)
